Lambada Market has opened an online store of Russian brands. "Lambada Market" at the "Tryokhgornaya Manufactory" Lambada Exhibition

Founder of Lambada Market Elena Kamai. In the online store you can find the same goods that are sold at monthly fairs; all of them are placed in four sections: “Clothing”, “Accessories”, “Jewelry” and “Home and Life”. You can add things you like to your wishlist.

Anyone can create their own store on the site: to do this, you need to fill out a special form. Now the site has about a hundred regular market participants and more than 1,500 products. For now, the online store is operating in a beta version, which is promised to be improved and supplemented: the number of sellers should increase, and the functionality of the site should expand.

We asked the founder of Lambada Market, Elena Kamai, to tell us how the idea of creating an online store came about and what are the further plans for its development.

ELENA KAMAY

founder of Lambada Market

The idea of launching such a site was already quite for a long time probably two years; We started working actively last year. It became clear that this was a natural development of events, because there are a lot of participants: about a thousand applications come to each market, of which we select 200. We realized what the volumes were and that people needed it. We always received very good feedback after events and realized that we all needed this. It took a year, but it working version- we are preparing a new version, which will include media where we will talk about all our participants, where everyone will be able to communicate, read about each other, buy and sell things.

We focused on Etsy and other Western sites. This is how any startup is done: you look and choose the best, use what suits you. We sent out invitations (we now have about a hundred stores on our website), made access, listened to feedback on how everything loaded and worked. They created, of course, focusing on themselves and what the children needed. “Lambada” is a holiday in itself, and I want this to happen all the time.

Now we have guys from St. Petersburg, Penza, Samara working with us; we want to make a project for all of Russia, the countries of the former USSR. Unfortunately, Etsy has been Russified, but it is not catching on, just like eBay, in my opinion. And this is absolutely our thing, understandable to everyone. We have been working offline for six years now, it seems to me that everything is natural and there will be even more in the future.

As for the mechanism for connecting buyers with sellers, everything is simple: you come, register, pay a small subscription fee(it will appear in two months and will depend on the number of goods) and sell. For buyers, of course, everything is free, you just buy. The mechanism is this: you pay directly to the seller, and the seller himself delivers the goods. This is the same system as on Etsy, it is quite convenient, because, unfortunately, we cannot take care of delivery yet.

I haven’t gone to a handmade fair for a long time, and last weekend I finally managed to get out to the Lambada Market. Fedya went to his grandmother, and my husband and I dressed up in leather jackets to celebrate and, of course, fell under the lovely spring snow. And on the market, because of my new hobby of video, I filmed more than I took photographs, so if it’s easier for you to watch and listen, then scroll to the very end. I also saved a couple of photos for readers, come in, I’ll treat you to children’s toys, phone cases and flowers)

1. Flowers were sold in front of the entrance to the pavilion. It’s a pity, the weather was stupid, I think the flowers would have been more fun with the sun

3. The DJ creates the right atmosphere

4. At the Trekhgornaya Manufactory there was even room for seats. You can leave your husband on the bench and calmly walk on)

5. I’ve been looking at the works of “Sherry Bobbins” for a long time, but I still haven’t bought anything, apparently “my” work is still ahead)

6. What is the name of this belly bag from the 90s?? Looks like fashion is coming back!

7. And sticker fashion too! It all started with a Korean trifle, and then it came to eye-rolling trash pictures. I've been seeing them on YouTube a lot lately.

8. I never use cases, and in general I’m strange, I don’t even have a wallet) But I love pictures!

9. Such things are definitely not my taste, but they look quite original.

10. It turns out that I’m not the only one who fell for wooden toys. This brand generally has a lot of fans; nothing is immediately left in stock on their website. I have already added a wooden forest, a rainbow and cubes to my wish list.

11. Puzzles are made by another company, but they are also wonderful. So pleasant to the touch, soulful and beautiful

12. I’m planning a small renovation in the hallway soon, so I’m looking at things like this

13. Now there is some kind of notebook epidemic, I saw that people were also buying these cute notebooks

14. There was a lot of wooden decor. It feels like fashion has reached its peak and something new will soon appear

15. I didn’t look at the clothes at all, although I bought myself a dress at the last fair. I’m thinking of taking a cutting and sewing course; modern Russian designers are not very pleased with their prices. Although, it seems that these guys in particular are not about Russian design at all

16. Brooches

17. I really liked the name Fairy table. And by the way, the dishes are very beautiful, there is a closer angle in the video

18. Thank you for walking with me! And don't forget to watch the video below!) (How many times have I used the word "video" in this post?))

At Lambada Market, young brands and cozy family businesses mature, gain juice and gain strength. The trick of the fair is that guests can communicate with the artists whose works they buy. Agree, it’s nice to wear not a nameless thing, but a brooch self made from the girl with red pigtails with whom you had a nice conversation about Bob Dylan. Or put a wooden table in the living room made by a funny guy wearing a sweatshirt from your favorite band. Who knows, maybe in front of you is the newly minted Frida Giannini or the future Arne Jacobsen.

Elena Kamai, creator and organizer of Lambada Market:

“Lambada Market is a large adult project that celebrated its seventh anniversary this year. We worked hard and grew from a friendly garage sale into a solid fair of young designers, artists and culinary specialists.

Last year we launched the online platform lmbd.ru. Now you can purchase unique and soulful items from craftsmen from different cities and countries. Every month before a new market, we receive several thousand applications, but we select only the 200 strongest and most interesting brands.

We always try to turn the market into a carefree and bright holiday. The New Year's fair will be no exception. This is a great occasion to meet friends and have a lot of fun. And we'll add a little magic. There will be a Christmas tree market, a Christmas choir will perform, and musicians will play. Come get some special things on December 23, 24 and 25!”

Dress with taste

At the New Year's Lambada Market, fashionistas and fashionistas will be able to appreciate designer clothing lines. Kings of denim know a lot about stylish jeans and warm plaid shirts. Sweatshirts and raincoats from Mom’s Garden will delight you with prints of Frida Kahlo and colorful dinosaurs. And the St. Petersburg brand “Mouth to Mouth” made sure that you do not freeze in the Epiphany frosts. The guys sew simple sweaters and dresses from wool and linen. Walk through the aisles - here you can find cozy French-style coats and frivolous boho T-shirts. At Lambada Market you can find truly original goods - you don’t have to worry that someone will show up to the party wearing the same dress as yours.

We create comfort

If you believe that home comfort should be functional, visit the interior design site. You might like designer furniture or wall prints from talented illustrators. Pay attention to the lithographs of Soviet artists - they can be purchased from Lithoart collectors. A mountain or city landscape is suitable for the living room. A graphic still life made in ink can be hung in the kitchen. By the way, if you need original wooden dishes, look for them in the Trud workshop. Lovers of airy porcelain can choose a tea pair with magical and floral motifs from Fairy Table. If you want to add beauty to your bathroom, The Chayka Shop soap makers will be happy to help you. They prepare delicate lavender soap, and also know how to carve Houdon's head - the kind from which artists learn to draw facial proportions.

Trying new dishes and listening to music

Hurray, we updated the wardrobe, we also took care of the interior. Now you can look into the food court. Which country's cuisine do you prefer at this time of day? The guys from Ferma Burger will prepare for you a black burger with cuttlefish ink, and the hot Mexicans Fresh & Fried will treat you to a spicy quesadilla. The fair's menu also includes falafel, boxed noodles and other dishes from around the world. There will be desserts too. The Injir project will take care of light mousses with fruits and berries and cottage cheese tarts. The other confectioners will also find something to please the guests.

Now that your stomach is no longer growling, you can think about your soul. For example, go to a Christmas choir concert or listen to the sounds of fruits and vegetables - the Playtronica project will help with this.
