- Glue stick;
- Napkins with a pattern;
- Stationery file;
- Acrylic paints;
- Brushes;
- Acrylic lacquer;
- Acrylic putty;
- Putty knife;
- Foam rubber sponges;

How to make a cup holder from a CD

We will make a coaster for a cup from an old CD. We will process the disk on both sides, on one and on the other side we will get a colored drawing made using the “decoupage” technique.

First of all, we need to close the hole in the disk. To do this, we cut out 2 small circles from plain paper.

and glue them on the hole area on one side and the other.

Now we take acrylic putty and, using a small spatula, apply a thin layer of it on the entire surface of the disk.

We wait for it to dry completely on one side and do the same on the other side.

While the putty is drying, we do not waste time and prepare drawings from napkins that we plan to stick on the disk. We tear out or cut out the motifs you like from napkins,

iron them with a warm iron,

we separate the two white layers of the napkin, leaving only the colored layer, with which we will continue to work.

While we were working with napkin motifs, the putty on the disc was completely dry. Rough areas are carefully sanded with sandpaper.

and wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust grains.

We process both surfaces of the disk with PVA glue.

When the glue is completely dry, prime the disc with white acrylic paint and also let it dry completely.

We put the prepared napkin pattern on a small stationery file and moisten it with plenty of water.

Carefully drain the excess water and attach the drawing along with the file to the disk,

smooth the file with your fingers and remove it.

In a separate container, dilute the PVA glue in half with water and coat the pattern with a fan brush, moving from the center of the disk to the edges.

We try to work so that wrinkles and air bubbles do not form under the pattern.

We are waiting for the complete drying of the disk. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process.

The protruding edges of the napkins are thoroughly dried. We carefully sand them with sandpaper.

We cover the surface of the disc with acrylic varnish in one layer.

After the varnish is completely dry, we draw some fragments of the picture with acrylic paints.

We pass along the edges of the disk with a sponge with brown paint applied to it.

When the paint dries, cover the disc with several layers of acrylic varnish, apply about 4-6 layers, dry each layer thoroughly.

Here we have such a cute stand.

Of course, you should not put a hot saucepan on it, but a cup of tea or coffee - please, the most important thing is that the furniture from the hot cup will not suffer now. Merry and productive creativity to you!

Stand for a mug in the technique of "Decoupage". Master class with step by step photos.

Raisa Ivanovna Bolba, teacher of additional education of the 1st qualification category, MBOU DOD Center for Technical Creativity, Belaya Kalitva.

This master class is intended for children of secondary school age, teachers of additional education, as well as all lovers of needlework.

Purpose: stand for a mug, a gift with your own hands.

Target: production of a coaster for a mug.

Tasks:
- introduce the technique of decorating objects using decoupage;
- improve the skills of working with paint, glue, napkins;
- educate purposefulness, accuracy, artistic taste.

About 20-30 years ago, coasters for mugs took a firm place in the life of almost every person, they began to select the original name for them. The most popular steels were bonfire, coaster and birmat. The name "coirdekel" was borrowed from the German language and in translation means - the lid of a beer mug. In Germany, there were beer mugs that had lids on top. These mugs were very expensive. big money, and in beer shops, beer in these mugs was served only for wealthy people. BUT simple people they drank beer from ordinary mugs, on which there was a small circle of felt on top. The Germans put this mug under the mug so that it does not interfere, but at the same time absorbs accidentally spilled beer. Thus, the lid was renamed the mug holder.
Later, various companies began to place their advertisements on coasters for mugs. Travel lovers bring with them from various countries as a souvenir such coasters for mugs with various drawings or inscriptions.
We will make a mug stand from old CDs, old postcards and patterned napkins.

For work we need the following materials:
- CDs,
- old postcards
- patterned napkins,
- white acrylic paint,
- gouache
- nice cord
- pencil,
- scissors,
- hairdryer,
- PVA glue,
- glue "Moment-Crystal".

Work sequence:
For one stand, you need to cut 2 circles from postcards. Colored cardboard is not suitable, because. with repeated application of paint and glue will warp. Postcards have a laminated layer on one side and do not warp when applying paint and glue.

Apply Moment glue to the disk and glue the cardboard circle first on one side, then on the other.

The lower part of the stand can be painted with gouache and varnished, or you can leave it as it is.

So, let's start decorating the stand. Apply paint with a swab, for example, green.

The paint can be dried with a hair dryer. Then apply PVA glue on a dry surface. The thicker the glue, the smaller the cracks on the surface of the stand will be.

We apply white acrylic paint to the slightly dried glue and quickly dry it with a hairdryer. Under a jet of hot air, cracks form in the paint - crackle.

Cut out the motif you like from the napkin. If the napkin is multi-layered, then we use only the top layer with a pattern.

Put a napkin on a stand, drip PVA glue

And smear from the middle to the edges of the motive.

We add a small inscription that will balance the composition.

We cover the mug stand with a layer of thick building PVA. After complete drying, we decorate the end of the stand with a cord, which we glue with Moment-Crystal glue.

Mug holder is ready.

These mug coasters are convenient to use at work during your lunch break.

Good luck to everyone who wants to repeat this master class!

The time of CDs is almost gone, many have a large number of them - music, with films, cartoons, with outdated computer programs- with images on them of heroes of fairy tales and films, flowers, graphic pictures.

They sparkle and shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow on the one hand, on the other - on them beautiful drawings. A hand does not rise to throw them away - and it is not necessary, you can make a lot of original, beautiful and useful things for the home from them.

In addition, working with them is very simple - they already have the correct shape of a circle, which in some crafts will only need to be slightly changed in order to give a future product or decoration desired view. At the same time, they are easily cut with ordinary clerical scissors and glued to the surface of almost any material.

It happens that some home interior items have lost their appearance, there is no way to replace them with new ones, or it’s just a pity to throw away an old favorite thing that has served faithfully for many years. Discs will help give things a new life.

For example, they can decorate an old mirror, making an original frame sparkling and shimmering in the rays of sunlight from a window or in the light of an electric lamp with all the colors of the rainbow from pieces of various shapes and sizes.

You can make a beautiful frame for a photo, decorate the edges of the cabinet drawers with a mosaic of pieces of disks.

Frame for mirror or photo

You will need a lot of disks, scissors, paints, glue, thick cardboard, colorless transparent varnish.

First you need to cut out a frame from cardboard in the shape and size of a mirror or photo. Then cut the disks into pieces of different shapes - squares, irregular quadrangles, rhombuses, triangles.

Take glue and stick on the frame of the figure so that there is a distance of one to two millimeters between them. As a result, on the frame you will get a mosaic of iridescent geometric shapes.

When the glue dries, and the figures cut out from the disk stick well, you need to carefully and carefully go through the joints of the figures with black ink or paint. After that, the frame is covered with a transparent varnish, allowed to dry and mounted on a wall with a mirror or photograph.

Mirror frames made of discs look mysterious and original.

If the apartment has interior doors with glass, the glass can also be laid out with a mosaic of discs. In this case, the joints between the pieces do not need to be painted, but simply covered with transparent varnish, then there will be a feeling of light and space.

Disk watch

An option is to purchase a clock mechanism with arrows or remove it from an old clock, lay clocks of any configuration on the wall with disks, gluing them to the wall, and strengthen the clock mechanism in the middle.

Wall decoration with discs

On the wall in the room or in the kitchen, you can lay out an interesting composition from disks with beautiful pictures, selected by theme. And you can use them to create your own picture.

To do this, you need to take the discs and paint their shiny side with black ink, when the ink dries, outline the lines of the future image along it, and then go through them with something sharp - a thick needle, a special scraper or a sharp knife with a thin blade and a sharp tip.

Iridescent lines on a black background will look very beautiful - you can draw anything you like: unusual birds, flowers, an abstract drawing. And hang the discs on the wall in random order.

Kitchen decoration discs

In the kitchen, disks can make an unusual “apron” in the desktop area. It will look extremely original, and in terms of working properties, the disks will not yield to tiles - they are just as easy to wash from splashes of fat and juice of vegetables and fruits.

The principle of working with them is the same as with frames for mirrors and photographs - just stick it on the wall.

At least for the room, at least for the kitchen - you can make a mosaic panel from disks by gluing pieces of the desired shape and color onto cardboard, and then covering the composition with transparent varnish.

Disk household items

The discs will make an excellent stand for hot. In this case, the disk will play the role of a base, you need to put a nice cover made of fabric on it, and the stand is ready.

It will be original to update the tabletop of a coffee table with sliced \u200b\u200bdiscs. To do this, cut them, fix them on the countertop with a plasticizer in random order or make a pattern out of the pieces, and then fill the countertop with a thin layer of transparent varnish, making it even.

The cover will be durable. The tabletop will sparkle and shimmer beautifully.

From two disks and a thick tree branch, you can make a holder for women's earrings.

The core of the rack is made from a smoothly processed branch, turned to the diameter of the hole in the center of the disks, one disk will be the base, the second shelf, make holes in it and insert the earrings into them.

How to decorate a suburban area with discs

Creativity and fantasy - space. For example, you can make a flower bed out of old car tires and rims by decorating the outer surface of the tires with a mosaic of shiny pieces.

Or you can cut a peacock out of a rubber tire, and make the tail out of whole round discs - for this you need to glue them in pairs with their shiny sides out, and then make them into a large triangle-tail, gluing the pairs of overlapped glued blanks.

On a dacha fence made of discs, you can depict a huge iridescent caterpillar. You can paint the disks under a ladybug - red paint, make black spots and draw a head, and plant them on fruit bushes and trees.

Christmas decorations from discs

Due to the fact that the disks in the rays of light shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow, beautiful snowflakes will come out of them for the New Year holiday - they are easily cut with scissors, you can cut out the most intricate pattern. You can hang snowflakes on the Christmas tree and on the walls.

You can cut the disks into small pieces, thickly paste over an ordinary ball with them and hang it from the ceiling on a thread - it will rotate and sparkle, reflecting the lights of New Year's garlands.

The application can be very different. From disks, you can make an interior curtain in the likeness of bamboo - collect disks on long threads. They can make an ultra-modern necklace, a fridge magnet, a vase, a candlestick, a holder for ballpoint pens and pencils, a box, they can even decorate a summer bag.

Unnecessary CDs are an excellent material for creativity, a means of spending leisure time - making certain gizmos from them, and the ability to decorate a house or cottage in an original and unusual way without spending a lot of money.

Photo ideas for fakes from disks

You can make a great many original and useful things from unnecessary CDs and DVDs. The author of this idea talks about how you can decorate your kitchen and emphasize its style with the help of coasters for mugs of hot drinks. The fact is that you can decorate coasters with napkins, choosing a color scheme and pattern that matches the theme of your interior in the kitchen. You can also make a set of such coasters as a gift for your loved ones, for this, just select a picture to decorate the coasters, which will harmoniously fit into their kitchen interior. Such a gift will be appreciated and will always serve as a warm reminder of you.

To bring this author's idea to life, you will need:
1. Old CDs and DVDs that you don't use.
2. Thick corrugated cardboard.
3. Scissors.
4. Napkins for decoupage.
5. Simple pencil.
6. Construction glue PVA.
7. Universal glue.
8. Construction putty.
9. Small spatula.
10. Sandpaper.
11. Alcohol-containing liquid for degreasing.
12. Rags.
13. Acrylic primer.
14. Acrylic glossy varnish.
15. Brushes for applying glue and varnish.
16. Foam sponge.
17. Files or plastic bags.
18. Acrylic paint.

1 step.
To begin with, we take corrugated thick cardboard and circle the previously prepared discs on it with a pencil. Then cut out circles from cardboard with scissors. You can simplify the process a little and, without resorting to a pencil, outline the boundaries of the disk on cardboard with a clerical knife, while the cardboard blanks will immediately turn out to be cut out of cardboard.

2 step.
Now apply a layer of universal glue to the shiny side of the disk.

3 step.
Carefully, trying not to get your fingers dirty with glue, we fold the blanks as follows: a disk with glue (glue up), then a circle cut out of cardboard on top and again a disk smeared with glue (glue down). In the end, it should look something like this:

4 step.
Using the method described above, we glue the required number of blanks, then put them one at a time in a file or bag in order not to accidentally stain anything in the glue. Now you need to place the blanks under the press for several hours.

5 step.
After the glue has dried, we remove the blanks from the files and close the hole in the middle of the disk with putty.

6 step.
We also close up the end sides of the workpiece with putty. Now patiently wait until the putty hardens.

7 step.
After the putty has completely hardened, we process the workpiece with sandpaper. After all the irregularities and roughness are removed with emery, degrease the surface of the workpiece with any alcohol-containing liquid. Then, with light tangential movements, we apply two layers of acrylic primer to the workpiece. Make sure to dry each layer well.

8 step.
Now we decorate the blanks with previously selected napkins with a pattern. To do this, simply glue the napkins with PVA glue onto the blanks. Let the glue dry.

9 step.
After the napkin dries, go over the edge of the workpiece with fine sandpaper. This will help to carefully remove the excess glued napkin.

This is how it should turn out:

10 step.
Now, very carefully, sometimes the end sides of the blanks with acrylic paint. In this case, the author uses brown paint, you can choose the paint that seems more suitable for you.

11 step.
After the paint has dried, cover the coasters under the mugs with acrylic varnish in several layers. Dry each layer thoroughly.

As a result, you get such beautiful coasters that will serve as a decoration for any kitchen.
