IEC Kyiv officially opened in October 2002, and received the status of the largest exhibition complex in the country. Anatoly Tkachenko is general director International Exhibition Center. The author of the preliminary design of the IEC is Janusz Wig. The chief architect of the construction project of the first stage (first pavilion) is Eduard Safronov, the second stage (second and third pavilions) is Mikhail Gershenzon. The third phase of construction began in the summer of 2017, with plans to build new pavilions, a hotel and an amphitheater. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2019. The IEC Expo Center is located on the left bank of the city of Kyiv, near the Livoberezhna metro station, a ten-minute drive from the center, it is also convenient to get to Boryspil airport
The International Exhibition Center is the largest exhibition building in Ukraine, combining in an architectural ensemble three elite pavilions with a total area of 67,796 square meters. m, of which 28,000 sq. m - exhibition halls. This is quite enough to implement the most daring projects in all possible areas of activity.
Since its opening in October 2002, the International Exhibition Center immediately became one of the recognized leaders in holding authoritative domestic and international forums. And since 2004, the complex has hosted more than seventy events annually. Of these, about fifty occupied almost the entire exhibition space: over the past three years, the center has hosted more than 200 international exhibitions, where about 50 thousand exhibitors were presented and almost two million visitors visited.
During the design and construction of the complex, all the latest global requirements were taken into account:
Three pavilions have fifteen entry groups - for the delivery of large cargo directly to the exhibition halls. There is a congress hall and fourteen permanent conference rooms (from 90 to 600 seats), meeting rooms and storage areas for valuables and weapons, cafes and fast food restaurants, cloakrooms and toilets, and an air conditioning system. Convenient access roads lead to private parking lots for 2,500 cars;
Technical equipment allows us to satisfy any requests of exhibition operators in design, architectural and planning solutions and services. It is easy to divide the halls into separate rooms using mobile structures and hold several events at the same time. The ability of the floors to withstand extremely high loads and the virtual absence of columns in the halls, with high ceiling heights of up to 24 m, make it possible to unload any large-sized exhibits directly in the pavilions with powerful truck cranes, to build exclusive three-story exhibition stands and other very diverse structures. The center is ready to provide each exhibitor with a connection to water supply, sewerage, electricity, Internet access, a direct telephone number, wireless communication systems with simultaneous translation into the required language, office space, bank services and much more. The International Exhibition Center (hereinafter referred to as IEC) is hosting an exhibition of agricultural technologies and agricultural products in Kyiv 2019, which will be held from December 3 to 5, 2019.
