To start working with the service, you need to go through a simple registration procedure. After that, you get into your account, which looks like the desktop of the operating system.

In fact, the program had the ability to load RAW and JPEG images taken with a camera and any other manufacturer. In October last year, the European department of Canon presented to the public the Irista programs for Android and iOS, which expand the capabilities of the web service. From now on, also the owners portable gadgets will be able to use Irist to upload photos to Canon's cloud storage, where up to 15 gigabytes of storage is available for free. Currently, only photos can be uploaded to Irista. As for the video, the authors promise to add the ability to store clips in the near future.
What is this service? One of the main features of the service is the ability to connect almost any cloud storage, ranging from Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive to Amazon, Baidu, Box, Flickr and other servers that are less famous in our area (moreover, you can work with all of them literally in one window without leaving the main working form). This approach immediately resonates with an attentive user who appreciates convenience and simplicity when working with galleries, using a minimum of clicks and taps.

CM Backup is not a cloud in the sense in which it is Google Drive or, for example. Those five gigabytes that you have there, you can use only to create a backup in your Android device.
Moreover, you can backup not all the contents of your gadget in a row, but only:
- contacts;
- call log
- SMS messages (I will write about this in a little more detail below);
- your photos;
— calendar events;
- your alarm clocks;
- your personal dictionary;
- browser bookmarks.
What I liked is a clear interface, the presence of the Russian language (which Asian developers can not always boast of, which, however, is understandable - they have more than enough of their own market 🙂), a fairly fast data transfer speed, the ability to set a backup schedule. In addition, your data is encrypted (AES-256) during transmission, download, and storage on Amazon S3 servers. And it's very reliable.
Another interesting feature is that you can reduce the size of your photos on the device by 90% after backing up the originals.
And now a few words about what I did not like. When moving to another smartphone, I noticed that everything except SMS was copied. To transfer messages, CM Backup offered to install some kind of SMS application of its own. And no options. I had to agree, but after the messages were transferred, again set my favorite by default. As a result, SMS messages remained safe and sound. The main question - how to transfer contacts to Android, was nevertheless resolved. And I was especially pleased with the call log, which also migrated to a new device 🙂
I advise you to try the CM Backup cloud and decide for yourself whether to stay on it, or on alternative solutions, which are now offered a lot.
