Even for additional fee There was no decent room, so I had to stay in the same one. There are gaps in the wall where the fan is installed, as thick as an arm. We were freezing at night because... There was a lot of blowing into this hole. They asked for additional blankets and they gave them, but it didn’t help much; I got a serious cold after such a vacation. There are no balconies.

in terms of location - it is in an excellent location, almost in the center of Varadero from the beach 3 minutes and there are a lot of cafes and all sorts of shops around, right opposite there was the only mini market stall where you could buy fruit - amazing bananas and pineapples)

All large all-inclusive hotels are quite far away - either by bus or taxi.

So you can't imagine a better location!

in our hotel there were only breakfasts, and breakfasts for 1 tooth, of course I can get enough, but a man is unlikely...

Rested in Dos Mares *2. Nice, small hotel in the city center. There are a lot of shops, markets, restaurants, cafes nearby. Havana club is 7 minutes walk. 200 meters to the sea. By the way, there were a lot of Russians in the hotel!

The service is good. The rooms are clean, they are cleaned every day. Some hotel staff even speak Russian.

My tour only included breakfast. And this turned out to be very good, since there is absolutely free choice of where and what to eat and with whom. In hotels where cocktails are free - they Bad quality. Not tasty at all. In my bar they sold 2 cookies, quite acceptable.

Vacationed in Varadero in December 2009. Stayed at the Dos Mares Hotel. As a Russian tourist who was not spoiled by the service (the first trip outside the border), and expecting the worst from a two-star hotel, I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with my choice. Compared to the private sector of the Black Sea coast, there are only advantages. But in order: firstly, the Pullman Hotel appears in the name, but this is a separate building a couple of streets from Dos Mares, I haven’t been inside, but it looks nice from the outside, perhaps has three stars, but probably the third coastline (you need to cross the main street of Varadero). Dos Mares (Two Seas) - second line, a minute and a half crawl from the ocean, across the road, past a bar with coconuts, lobsters and cocktails. On the beach there are stationary mushroom umbrellas covered with palm leaves, sun loungers for two pesos/cooks, cocktails, drinks and food from a nearby bar, kindly brought directly to the beach by lifeguards. The beach is cleaned every morning (except weekends), discarded seaweed is collected, in general, as throughout Varadero. Next to the hotel, across the central road, there is a chain of shops (prices are above average), behind the hotel there is a souvenir market (prices are the same as throughout Cuba), a little further there is a commercial center with a wide selection of goods at minimal (for Varadero) prices. I liked the hotel - they cleaned it every day (regardless of whether there was a sign on the door or not), periodically left a cook for the maid. The tour only included breakfast - the hotel is not so great, you won’t overeat, but you won’t leave hungry, a caveat - you need to specifically ask for either an omelette or a sandwich (if you’re on the road), they won’t bring it to you. And so - thinly sliced ​​fruit, toast with butter and jam, coffee and juice (not fresh). I didn’t have to have lunch or dinner at the hotel; I always found establishments in other places in Varadero (with pleasant prices, compared to Moscow). Next to the hotel, behind the shops, there is a Rent a Car office, there is a rental service in the hotel, but there was no choice of car models (rent is not cheap, less than 85 cookies per day in Varadero, I did not find it, although I went to several offices). I liked the location of the hotel - approximately in the middle of an actively built-up area with non-fashionable hotels (like at the end of Varadero), moving to the beginning, you soon end up at the bus station (from there I went to Havana), moving (all on foot) to the end of the peninsula, you pass many entertainment and cultural places (diving club, park, etc., etc.). But to visit the very beginning (where the canal is) and the very end (where the yacht club is), you need to use either a double-decker bus, a car, a taxi, or a scooter. As for the hotel room - everything is modest, but acceptable - air conditioning, safe, telephone, TV - with NTV-America, bathroom with shower “cabin” (curtain), bar only until one or two in the morning. Nothing was missing from the room, they didn’t pay attention to the glass I broke on the bedside table, they removed the fragments and that’s it, they twisted figures out of towels, regardless of whether you left money or not, I saw that vacationers take towels to the beach (I brought them from Moscow, fool ), in general - everything is cultural, accessible, democratic. They always smile at you, greet you, and respond to any request. I recommend the Dos Mares Hotel to those who are not looking for a European five-star or Turkish-Egyptian all inclusive, who spend little time within the hotel walls (excursions, walks, the beach).

It was possible to order both lunch and dinner there, but after breakfast we realized that it was better to eat elsewhere...

The rooms are small with old rattling air conditioners, they were cleaned every day regardless of whether we left something or not... a couple of times they made simple decorations from towels...

there is almost no service, no one touched us or offered us anything... except that a couple of times at the bar they made us a pina colada and it should be noted that it was very good,

We took excursions from a tour operator, because as it turned out the prices were the same throughout the whole cube..

I really enjoyed the safari excursion! highly recommend!

We also went to Cayo Largo - an island to which you need to fly by mini-plane, but it didn’t make much of an impression...

In general, then we rented a car for 3 days and went traveling around Cuba, went to Havana, Trinidad ourselves and generally drove around the mountains... so we didn’t regret that we didn’t have “all inclusive” because there were almost no of us at the hotel was...

It seemed like the room was cleaned every day, but there was dust and sand on the floor and bed. Bed linen was never changed, towels were thrown on the floor and changed.

Breakfast of 2 types or an omelet or a sandwich, coffee, juice and fruit, not a buffet. They will bring you a small portion and that’s it, you won’t get enough of it. We ate mostly on the street, the food was delicious.

The only plus is the beach and the ocean, it’s gorgeous, I really liked it. Sunbeds are available for a fee.

Basically we had a very good rest, the weather was really cool))))

We went on excursions to the Caribbean Sea and Havana. I liked everything very much, but I don’t recommend going to this hotel.
