Charitable foundation number 6162. Channel One and Rusfond: SMS with the word "good" saves the health and lives of hundreds of children

Help seriously ill children. It is very easy to take part in it - just send an SMS from your mobile phone to the short number 5541 with the word "DOBRO" typed in the letters of the Russian or Latin alphabet.

The cost of one message is 75 rubles. I draw your attention: in a response SMS from a mobile operator, you may be asked to confirm the transfer. These are the requirements of the Law "On Communications". Please do this, otherwise the money will not reach sick children. But it is your help that is often the only hope for hundreds of families to perform a saving operation on a child, put the baby on his feet, teach him to smile, restore health and beauty.

Together, holding hands, they seem to guard his sweet dream. Sasha is two and a half years old. He has just undergone a complex heart operation, which means that the worst for mom and dad is over. There will be no more unbearable seizures, sleepless nights, pain and tears.

“When I arrived at 6 in the morning, he smiles, says to me - mom. The next phrase was, of course, where is dad? Where is dad?” recalls Tatyana Ivanova, Sasha's mother.

They were always there. Tatyana remembers how she grabbed her husband's hand when the doctor first told them: your son has a complex heart defect, and only one place can fix it, the children's hospital in Philadelphia. Parents gave everything they had, but even this was not enough. Just at that moment, you, the viewers of Channel One, appeared in their lives. Millions of saving SMS with the word "WELCOME" to number 5541 come daily from all over the world, which means that the little heart will beat evenly.

The audience would know how difficult it is for him - it's so easy to help his mother collect things. almost the entire left side of his body does not obey. Due to the fact that the baby's brain develops incorrectly, epileptic seizures can also begin over time. Yegor's mother Marina Mikhailova did not give up, even when her father left the family due to the difficulties that had begun, and nevertheless found doctors in Germany who agreed to help.

You and your mother also believed. You have collected not only unthinkable for Yegor's family 6 million rubles for treatment. There were so many messages with the word "DOBRO" to the short number 5541 that the sent 73 million rubles have already saved dozens of other lives.

Among them was Adelina Kovalenko. 4.5 million helped her get back on her feet. The girl underwent a rare operation, which doctors call the "Eiffel Tower": after all, a very similar design now holds her spine.

“When we put her on her feet, when she stood up straight for the first time in her life and walked, albeit limping, but she walked evenly, her back was even, it was beyond words at all,” says Olga Leontieva, grandmother, with tears Adeline.

For her six years, Adeline is surprisingly serious. Almost does not smile and even asks her grandmother not to cry when she remembers what their family had to go through.

When Lisa Bal found out that television would come to visit them, she did not sleep all night: she tidied up the room, helped her mother iron her favorite dress and promised to be an exemplary daughter. Responsive, sociable, now she smiles at us for the camera, and more recently she was embarrassed to leave the house once again and cried when the guys from the kindergarten teased her. From the age of three, the right and left halves of Lisa's face began to develop asymmetrically.

“One side grows, the other does not ... By the age of 14, the deformation of the face will simply go completely, the nose will go to the side. They don’t give us quotas for this business, they think that the child is a freak - and a freak ... They say - it interferes with your health No. Well, that's all, but purely aesthetically, nobody cares, "recalls Galina Kosheleva, Lisa's mother.

The generosity of the audience helped. They not only raised money for three operations for Lisa, but also gave her hope for simple human happiness. Now Lisa can talk and smile.

“It’s just that we never let her lose heart either, we told her all the time that she was the most beautiful girl with us. Therefore, she didn’t particularly complex either then or now,” says Lisa’s mother proudly.

A whole army of sympathetic people from all over the world. It's you, the viewers of Channel One. During the three years of the existence of the Rusfond project, you have already saved so many lives, but there are still thousands of children left. And for them, each of your messages with the word "GOOD" is the last chance they dream of.

Since the beginning of the campaign, 1879 children have already received assistance. But many more are in need of expensive treatment. You can transfer money by bank transfer, using payment systems, as well as by sending a message to the short number 5541 with the word "DOBRO", typing it in the letters of the Russian or Latin alphabet.

The cost of one SMS is 75 rubles. Channel One and the Russian Aid Fund guarantee that all funds will be spent on the treatment of children. Detailed reports are published on the Rusfond website. The first channel will also talk about children who have already been helped by our viewers and those who still need support.

" continue the joint action, the purpose of which is to help seriously ill children. To take part, it is enough to send from a mobile phone 75 rubles.

Two weeks ago, Channel One told the story of 11-year-old Nikita, who was hit by a train. In a few minutes, while the report was on, it was possible to collect the necessary amount for the expensive rehabilitation of the boy in a German clinic. Many viewers responded to the request for help - and the funds will be enough to treat thirty more children.

Hitting a tennis ball is not always possible yet - the hand does not obey. But Nikita is not upset, because he is sure that very soon he will not only beat off his father's serves, but will also start to win. The boy is going to Germany for treatment, from day to day the family is waiting for a call from the German clinic.

“Thanks to everyone who believed in Nikita, I have a strong one! We will definitely get better,” said Igor Bodak.

This family was given confidence and hope by the viewers of Channel One, who sent SMS to number 5541 with the word "DOBRO". For the treatment of Nikita, they collected an unbearable amount for the family of almost 3.5 million. More recently, he not only played, he learned to walk again. Through pain and tears every day I developed paralyzed muscles.

Nikita was hit by an electric train, the blow fell on a tangent, the boy was thrown almost 10 meters away. Clinical death occurred three times, then there was a coma, several operations, almost complete paralysis of the right side of the body, and only a 5 percent chance of recovery. He was rescued, and now every day he fights to become the same as before.

Millions of people responded to Nikita's story. Helping him, with one SMS, our viewers made it possible for other children to receive treatment.

Looking at this smiling baby, you will never think that she has a very complicated disease - a congenital intestinal defect. There is always a dropper next to Varya - the girl cannot drink or eat on her own. The necessary substances enter directly into the blood, intravenously. The parents of an 11-month-old girl dream that she will take her first steps without wires and catheters - they go to Germany for treatment, viewers of Channel One collected 3 million rubles for Varya.

“At first you don’t believe in it, and then you start to realize, rejoice. As soon as we found out that the money had been collected, we immediately started looking for a plane ticket. Such hope and inspiration immediately wake up,” says Andrey Nikolaev.

Ilya is ready to ride a bicycle for hours, but not yet - too much huge pressure on the spine. They will perform another operation, the money for which has already been transferred, it will become a little easier. The boy has scoliosis. From birth, the child's spine was curved by 86 degrees, now it is half as much. Every year, until the age of 14, Ilya needs to correct the inserted implant. One operation costs 220 thousand.

“Many thanks to the people who financially help us, and indeed our children, for their contribution to these expensive operations, without which children cannot live. Many thanks to them,” said Irina Gvozdeva.

The fact that Artem, at the age of 8, himself, albeit not without support, comes to meet us halfway is already a great victory. And let him get tired quickly for the time being, and his grandmother helps him overcome the rest of the way. A year and a half ago, the boy could not even walk like that, he could only crawl. He has congenital osteogenesis imperfecta, in other words, very fragile bones that break even when touched. Such a fragile and at the same time strong child.

“When I woke up after the operation after anesthesia:“ Mom, I want to eat, ”but it’s impossible. They allowed me to give a cookie, I cheer,” recalls Artem Samuylov.

Artyom has already undergone the necessary operation - fractures have become less frequent. But in order for the bones to become stronger, constant rehabilitation is needed. In between drips, he plays foosball and dreams of stepping onto the field with his feet. And the grandmother does not get tired of thanking - if it were not for the help of caring people, they would not have collected the necessary 300 thousand rubles.

"Of course, they took it as a gift of fate," says Marina Samuylova.

He is very sociable and mobile.

"Mobile, yes! In general, I like to communicate with him, he talks like an adult. You can talk with him on any topic," says Marina Samuylova.

In a few minutes, while the report about Nikita Bodak was on, instead of the required 3.5 million, viewers of Channel 1 transferred almost 59, 31 children will receive treatment with this money. Their parents find it difficult to find words of gratitude for strangers who did not leave in trouble

“People who live in the Far East have never seen my boy, they give the last money from the phone. This is a feeling that is hard to convey,” says Igor Bodak.

Since the beginning of the campaign, 924 children have already received assistance. Many more need your support. Participation is simple - just send from your mobile phone SMS to number 5541 with the word "good" in Cyrillic or Latin letters. The cost of one message - 75 rubles.

You can send any number of SMS from one phone. All money raised will go to the treatment of seriously ill children. Detailed reports on how funds are spent are published on the Rusfond website. And Channel One will continue to talk about children who need your support, and about those whom you have already helped.

The Podari Zhizn Foundation presented a new mobile donation service - short number 6162. The number was opened together with Beeline; it is also available for MTS and Megafon subscribers. The uniqueness of the number is that Beeline subscribers can subscribe to monthly donations. This is the first such experience for Russia.

The Podari Zhizn Foundation presented a new mobile donation service - short number 6162. From left to right: Olga Turishcheva (Beeline), Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun

We asked representatives of operators and charitable foundations how mobile fundraising will develop in Russia.

What makes the Podari Zhizn Foundation's mobile service unique?

Beeline subscribers have access to the service of monthly mobile donations - this is the first such experience for Russia. Beeline is negotiating to connect other operators to the monthly donation program.

Sending SMS is free for Beeline and Megafon subscribers. For MTS subscribers - 4 rubles. (until the end of July 2013); MTS also sends a paid SMS message worth 10 rubles for confirmation.

The commission of agents, provider and bank in total is only 5% of the payment.

“Helping should be convenient”

The main message with which the Podari Zhizn Foundation created the short number 6162 is “it should be convenient to help”. As the co-founder of the fund said at the presentation of the service Chulpan Khamatova: “From the beginning, we have been looking for ways to shorten the donation process. So that people do not stand in line for hours and fill out a bunch of forms. As a result, we realized that the most fast way help is a translation through mobile phone. The fund had several attempts to negotiate with the operators. For the first time, we were offered the following conditions: 50% for the operator, 50% for the children. "There will be a lot of money, so don't worry." We didn't go for it, of course. Now, thanks to Beeline, most of the transferred money goes directly to the children.”

Now 70% of all donations to Podari Zhizn come from private donors. Of these, 81% are Sberbank, 12% are Internet donations, and 7% are Qiwi payment terminals. The short number, according to Chulpan, will make a real revolution and in the future, perhaps, will become the main driving force of fundraising: “After we launched the program with Beeline, from May 27 to June 25, more than 1 million rubles were collected. Despite the fact that there has not yet been any promotion of the service.

According to Chulpan, the issue is valuable because it allows foundations not to miss the “impulse of sympathy”: “A person works like this: he saw a story on TV, read an article - and the impulse works for him - I want to help! It is very important to catch this moment before a person forgets, before he is distracted. In this regard, SMS donation is an ideal service.”

Dina Korzun, the second co-founder of Podari Zhizn, who has been living in London for five years, shared her Western experience of mobile fundraising: “Each charitable foundation in Europe has its own mobile number for donations. Ads with these numbers hang on the streets, in the subway. This is the part Everyday life ordinary Europeans. For example, I transferred 3 pounds, the next day they called me back, they said that they received the money, thanked me and offered to send an information booklet of the fund. Such services have enormous potential. When there was a flood in Haiti, the Red Cross raised $3 million via SMS in 24 hours.”

Monthly donations: regularly, but not automatically

Olga Turishcheva, Vice President for Marketing and Business Development of VimpelCom (Beeline), spoke about key features short number 6162:

This is not an automatic debit, every month the subscriber confirms the payment. If suddenly in some month you cannot make a transfer, don't worry - in a month you will receive a reminder and a question whether you are ready to make a donation again.

It doesn't matter which operator you have, the short number 6162 for all operators is assigned to the Podari Zhizn Foundation.

Fraudsters cannot connect to the short number, it is completely protected. The subscriber always receives confirmation that he has made a donation. Moreover, if you are an MTS or Megafon subscriber, confirmation will come from your operator.

There is the possibility of targeted assistance to the wards of the Podari Zhizn Foundation. For example, a story about a child was broadcast on television, and after that we will allocate donations specifically for him from the general stream - according to the time of translation.

How MTS and MegaFon develop mobile charity

We asked two others mobile operators « big three- MTS and Megafon, what charity programs they have and how they see the development of mobile fundraising in Russia.

Anna Smirnova, Leading Specialist of MTS PR Department:

About the charity USSD request *700#
We are developing a service - USSD request *700#. It can be used free of charge by every MTS subscriber (only individuals). Donations from the subscriber's account go directly to the fund, and, importantly, on the same day they were sent. In contrast to the usual SMS-charity, where donations from donations go to the fund only after a month.

We are developing this project as part of our Give Good! together with partner funds: Rusfond, Creation, Center for Humanitarian Programs and the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation. NPOs enter into a direct contract with one of the providers connected to the service " Easy payment and start accepting donations. The service allows feedback: funds receive Additional information about the donation: the number of the subscriber who transferred the money, the time of the transfer.

So far, only the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation has connected to the USSD request; we are waiting for others to join.

About Democracy
Previously, the most popular form of charity was cash, but the future lies with mobile and online payments. For example, in the UK, a quarter of the population under the age of 35 send mobile donations at least once a year. This is part of the democratization of philanthropy and opens up incredible prospects for foundations: anyone with a phone can become a philanthropist.

About fraud
We have our own security team that carefully checks every donation request. Our partners from Rosno, if necessary, provide an expert assessment of the treatment prescribed by the doctor and the selection of medicines. In addition, partner funds always provide us with reports on the work done, where it is indicated to the penny where the funds went.

About regular donations
We do not aim to create a regular donation service. Because people tend to forget what they signed up for. As a result, after 2-3 months, the subscriber may perceive debits from his personal account as fraud and begin to accuse the operator of illegal debiting of funds. In fact, charity is a spontaneous desire, a person is ready to help here and now, and not after some time.

Petr Lidov, PR Director, MegaFon:

About charitable services
We do not have special charitable services. But our subscribers can transfer money to charitable organizations through the MegaFon Money app or on the website www.oplata.megafon.ru. In this case, the commission is 0%.

About fraud
There are two types of mobile charity: in the first case, the subscriber is asked to send an SMS to a short number, after which the amount is debited from his personal account in favor of the charitable organization; in the second - the subscriber transfers any amount of funds to the personal account of the needy.

In the case of using a short number, we, as an operator, can help the subscriber find out if the short number is related to a charitable organization, but in the second case, this is problematic. If someone announces a charity fundraiser and publishes a Megafon number so that money can be transferred to it, we cannot confirm or deny that this is a scam - as long as there are no complaints from defrauded customers.

How to recognize "mobile" scammers
If funds are accumulated on a phone number, then to withdraw them through mobile commerce there are standard limits determined by the Law "On the National Payment System".

If the owner of the number wants to withdraw a lot from the account Money immediately and terminates the contract with the issuance of the amount remaining on the personal account, then we can consider such an application up to 60 days to make sure that this is really not a scam and there are no complaints from other subscribers.

There were precedents when the owners of the rooms demanded to give the entire amount at once, explaining this as a charitable fundraiser, but I repeat once again: we check and we have the right to issue money with a delay of up to 60 days, so it is better to use other opportunities for charitable donations.

If we are faced with fraudulent schemes disguised as charity, MegaFon notifies subscribers of the appearance of such fraud on our portal stopfraud.megafon.ru and on social networks.

I would like to advise: to make sure your money gets to the right addressee, check with the operator whether an SMS to a certain short number really refers to a charity event, and also how much such a message costs.

NPO: experience of mobile charity

Representatives of several charitable foundations told Philanthropist about their experience in mobile and online charity.

Alexandra Kremenets, curator of the "Healthy Child" program of the "Children's Houses" Charitable Foundation for Helping Children:

The Healthy Child Program exists primarily through private donations. Internet services bring us about 20% of funds, mobile services - 3%.

The benefactor sends an SMS to a short number, entering the transfer amount. The company that provides this service takes a commission of 5%. The SMS itself is free for donors.

One day, the foundation's website was hacked and the e-wallet numbers and numbers for SMS charity were replaced. Now we are extremely attentive to the security of the site and check all the information daily.

Vladlena Kalashnikova, Head of Fundraising Department, Mercy Help Desk.

The share of donations through the mobile service is only 3-4% of the total amount of monthly donations. But now we are moving to a new, more convenient, system with a single short number, regardless of the services of which operator the subscriber uses. This is a project with the National Charitable Foundation, which provides us with free SMS donation services.

The SMS itself will be paid, it is also important to take into account that not all tariffs allow you to transfer donations.

We receive more than 50% of assistance through Internet services. For example, as part of the Give Joy for Easter campaign, we collected 1 million 150 thousand rubles for the wards of our help service in just 6 weeks.

Vladimir Berkhin, President of the Tradition Foundation:

Most donations come through direct bank transfers, but mobile services are only about 100 thousand rubles a month. Fraudsters are not dangerous to us: even by hacking, for example, a fund wallet on Yandex or RBC, they will not achieve anything. The wallet is tied to our bank account, and you need paper documents to change the binding.

We are looking forward to the appearance of charitable tariffs for mobile communications (when, for example, 0.1% goes to the fund).

Marina Zubova, President of the Gulfstream Foundation:

About 20% of donations come to us through Internet services. Through mobile services - 10-15%.

As part of SMS-charity, we cooperate with the National Charitable Foundation. He acts as an intermediary between the NPO and the Soyuztelecom operator. Activation of the service is free, funds choose a prefix for themselves - a word that donors write in SMS. Operators mobile communications they take a certain percentage for themselves: Beeline - 4.95%; MegaFon - 6%; MTS - 5%. In principle, we are satisfied, because earlier operators took about 50-60% for themselves.

The Gift of Life Charitable Foundation and the TV Center TV channel are raising funds for the treatment of two-year-old Vadim Samkov. The boy has a rare hereditary disease - Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. The only chance for recovery is a bone marrow transplant. A donor has already been found. But the operation requires more than one and a half million rubles. Vadim's family doesn't have that kind of money. Everyone can help.

At two and a half years old, Vadim is not childishly polite and loves constructors very much. Only now he can’t play them for a long time - almost every ten minutes he lies down to rest. Vadim has Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome, that is, there is practically no immunity. This is a rare hereditary disease, a genetic mutation that affects boys.

“A completely healthy baby was born. Everything was fine. The first manifestations of the disease in the form of a rash began at the age of three months. But since there were no more manifestations, the doctors generally shrugged their shoulders and said: “Well, the child feels good. Means. Everything is fine," recalls Vadim's mother Elena Samkova.

But it was normal for a very short time. At the age of one and a half years, the baby suffered the first serious infectious disease - an intestinal infection, which provoked vomiting with blood, and tests showed a minimum level of platelets in the blood. Now he is completely forbidden to communicate with outside world. He lives in a sterile box, which only the mother can enter, and then after following numerous disinfection procedures.

"We have planned a transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. The transplantation will be carried out from an unrelated, but completely compatible donor. It will actually look like a transfusion of ordinary blood components. That is, we will bring a bag with specially prepared cells, which the child will receive in a certain period of time" , - says the hematologist of the transplantation department No. 2 of the FNKTs DGOI named after. Dima Rogacheva Svetlana Kozlovskaya.

Without a bone marrow transplant, the baby can not be. This is the only chance for recovery.

“The older he gets, the more and harder he will get sick. That is, we are on disability. this moment we can not attend any children's groups. That is, if we do not cure him, then he will not be able to go to school, respectively. Of course, I want my child to live fully, so that he goes to school, so that he communicates with people. And so that it all ends someday," says Vadim's mother.

In the West, patients are known who underwent such a procedure on time more than twenty years ago, now they live fully. A donor was found for Vadim in Poland, and he is ready to donate his bone marrow for free. But all laboratory work, cell sampling, transportation and other procedures cost 1,625,000 rubles. For the boy's family, this is a huge amount. But everyone can help.
