Sony h ear in-ear headphones. Buy Out of stock SONY h.ear MDR-EX750BT Jet black

The review of the Sony wireless headset (MDR-EX750BT) from the h.ear line has become for me one of the most unambiguous materials in terms of “like / dislike”.

The device came to my liking without any reservations. For a long time it was not such that even after prolonged use of the device there were no obvious minuses or annoying shortcomings.

How it happened and what to do about it, you can find out by reading this review. 😉

Sony h.ear in wireless bundle:

  1. Headset
  2. A set of spare ear pads
  3. USB cable for wired listening
  4. USB charging cable
  5. Fabric case

Appearance and design

The appearance of h.ear in Wireless can be described as stylish simplicity. There are not a huge number of details that distract from the perception of the device.

Healthy minimalism is the main motto of the whole Sony lineup h.ear and MDR-EX750BT.

The shape of the case and its design echoes earlier models of wireless Sony headset. First of all, these are SBH70 (read ours) and.

The designers of the Japanese company, when creating the MDR-EX750BT, took as a basis the same concept as their predecessors, but significantly rethought it.

The headband of the device is made of hypoallergenic silicone, and the edges of the body are made of matte plastic, which feels durable and scratch resistant. Anyway my h.ear in wireless looks like new after 3 weeks of daily use.

It should be noted that the case of the headphones themselves is entirely made of aluminum, machined from solid pieces of metal.

Controls and all the main nodes of the headset are now focused on the left end of the "hoop" - buttons, microphone, LED and micro-USB port for charging. At the right end, you can find only an NFC sensor for a quick first connection between the headset and a mobile device.

Based on my experience of using the Sony SBH70, I can say that such an approach, when everything is concentrated in one place, is definitely more convenient. It becomes simply impossible to get confused in the control keys, because you know that everything is on the left side.

Made in Malaysia is not often seen on a product these days.

Ergonomics, ease of use

Above, I have already described the h.ear in wireless keys and the advantage that the location of all the buttons on one side gives. In addition, I will mention that the buttons have a clear move, and the volume up key has a “volume dot” so as not to confuse where + and where -.

Auxiliary controls are headset voice alerts, which are spoken by a female voice in English. For example, "Power On" when MDR-EX750B and "Battery Level Low" when turned on. If we hear the first phrase, then the charge is still enough, and if the second, then the charge remains for 10-20 minutes.

Important! Headphone wires do not lose their elasticity in sub-zero temperatures. Up to -12 Celsius for sure.

In addition to a fabric case in the color of the headset and a usb-to-usb cable for connecting to a smartphone or charging, the kit comes with 4 pairs of ear pads of various sizes; the standard M fit me almost perfectly, sitting in my ears like a glove. Perhaps it's all about the high-quality silicone ear pads, velvety and soft to the touch.

Headset Sony h.ear (MDR-EX750BT) does not cause discomfort during prolonged wear. The rubber hoop does not rub the neck, and its weight is barely noticeable. Nothing interferes with long and comfortable listening.

Sound quality

I would never have thought that a bluetooth headset could produce SUCH sound. At first I did not even believe that this was possible, but it is a reality. H.ear in wireless sets a new bar for audio quality in wireless headsets and headphones.

If it were not for the occasional interference that occurs due to the fact that the frequencies of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are the same, then I would have thought that these are high-quality wired headphones- liners.

Interference is perhaps the only obvious drawback of H.ear Wireless, but Sony's product is not perfect. Bluetooth technology not here. Moreover, these very interferences or distortions happen infrequently.

LDAC codec - myth or reality?

Rather, reality, because there is a difference when listening to the same tracks in mp3 or FLAC formats. The sound is "deeper", the detail is higher, and the bass is more powerful.

The LDAC codec is Sony's proprietary technology. With it, you can achieve three times the data transfer speed via Bluetooth than in the usual case. It turns out 990 kbps versus 320 kbps in conventional bluetooth headsets.

But keep in mind that miracles with the LDAC codec only work with Sony smartphones Xperia is not lower than Xperia Z5 series. That is, if you have any other smartphone, then the amount of data transmitted via bluetooth to the headset will be equal to the quality of 320 kbps, and not 990 kbps (FLAC, that is).

Working hours.

The battery life of the H.ear in Wireless is relatively short. Approximately 5-6 hours of listening to music at medium volume. Charging takes place in 1.2-1.5 hours, during charging, the red LED is on, after the charge is full, the diode turns off.

***

Sony managed to create a really high-quality Bluetooth headset, with which it is pleasant to listen to music on a daily basis.

The only drawbacks for me are interference and not the most obvious headset battery control system.

H.ear in Wireless (MDR-EX750BT) is a favorite if you're looking for a high-end in-ear wireless headphone/headset. Real alternatives with similar sound quality, ease of use and the same price will be extremely difficult to find.

In general, fans of wireless devices are recommended to buy. The Sony MDR-EX750BT is an almost perfect option among products in this category today.

A musical novelty from Sony is always interesting. In making headphones Japanese company knows a lot. Last year, a line of portable ears replenished model range h.ear in. A device called MDR-EX750AP belongs to the category of mid-top.

In the Sony MDR-EX750AP, the developers have achieved the effect of “ tight bass”, low frequencies really sound juicy and accented.

The manufacturer claims that these headphones use first-class components and high-sensitivity drivers that allow you to appreciate the high quality / Hi-Res resolution sound, but the real emphasis is still placed on the external design of the device.

External and technical features

The brick red Sony MDR-EX750AP headphones fell into our hands, this is exactly what the official name of the shade sounds like (the phrase lime yellow is no less funny). The structure of the plug-in structure is made of aluminum, the connecting wire (length 1.2 m) is quite strong, not thin and not flimsy.

The kit includes a small magnetic carrying case for the MDR-EX750AP, as well as silicone eartips (SS, S, M, L sizes) of various sizes for a comfortable fit.

Sony MDR-EX750AP, although they are in-ear / internal headphones, their dimensions are not the most modest. They are comfortable, but you still have to get used to the large aluminum case. Periodically plugins fall out from the ear, this process must be mechanically controlled.

MDR-EX750AP act as not only headphones, but also a headset; there is a portable control panel and a microphone on the wire.

Sound quality

In the Sony MDR-EX750AP, the developers have achieved the effect elastic bass, low frequencies really sound juicy and accentuated. However, we could not assess the overall sound balance.

Tracks in FLAC format were listened to through the player without any high-quality settings and equalizer. For rock and instrumental compositions, the Sony MDR-EX750AP is definitely not suitable, especially if you are a fan of electric guitar.

General mix deaf, overloaded with echo and effect closet

O porridge we are not talking, but the resulting sound is not what you expect from outwardly high-quality headphones for more than five thousand rubles, also from Sony.

The truth is that the Creative EP-600, which cost 10 times less (about 600-650 rubles), sound better than the Sony MDR-EX750AP. It is enough to compare one model with another using the example of one composition. Which is what we did.

You may not notice a huge difference, but the overall balance and purity of the mix in the Creative device is hard not to appreciate.

General mix deaf, overloaded with echo and effect closet. Lacks clarity and clarity. Sometimes it is difficult to make out each soundtrack of the track and the accents of the composition.

It's hard to believe that the sound high resolution Hi-Res, according to Sony, should sound exactly like that. It is not entirely correct to draw parallels with headphones, which are external and cost completely different money, but it is in them that the formula for decent sound is reflected to a greater extent. So the point here is precisely in the h.ear in line.

conclusions

The words design and style in the annotation for the Sony MDR-EX750AP are found too often, much more often than sound and quality. But these are not the characteristics for which Sony products are valued all over the world.

Set a course for bright colors and external features instead of innovative technological solutions - in our opinion, a modern (if you want popular), but not a productive approach.

We believe that the Sony MDR-EX750AP, which clearly fall short of the recommended 6000 rubles, against the general favorable sound background of the Japanese brand, will be a single exception.

Contents of delivery A box made of thick high-quality cardboard, on top of which there is a dust jacket with the name of the model, the image of headphones and icons of various characteristics. Box without dust jacket. Inside are folded earphones. Scope of delivery: headphones, carrying bag, audio cable, USB cable- microUSB, manual and warranty card.
Appearance and features Headphones unfolded. Classic full-lengths: comfortable, beautiful, and at the same time wireless and with noise reduction. Made from very high quality plastic.
On the left cup there is a power button (it is also for pairing mode), a button for switching the sound mode and noise reduction, a microphone, a microUSB port used for battery charging, audio input.
The ear pads are made of soft material, thanks to which the ear cups sit comfortably on the ears and isolate external noise well.

AT previous version of these headphones, on the bottom of the left cup there was a volume rocker and a pushable slider for the Play / Pause button (aka answer the call), which also switched tracks back and forth. In this version, all control was transferred to the outer surface of the cup, so now everything is done with gestures : up-down - volume, left-right - switching tracks, tapping on the center - Play / Pause and answering a call.
On the outer part of the right and left headphones are microphones used for noise reduction both during playback and during conversation. The headband is made of a very pleasant to the touch soft material that elastically flexes when pressed.
Headphones are adjustable in height. Top part the adjusting arc is made of metal. When adjusted, the headphones are fixed in several intermediate positions.
On the ears, the headphones sit quite tightly, but do not press hard. I repeatedly went for walks with them for a couple of hours and listened to music at home for a couple of hours - it's normal, my head didn't get tired. Headphone operation First I tested the headphones in wired mode- for this, a smartphone with a separate . At the same time, tracks in the FLAC format in various genres were mainly played, and for the test I also tried several MP3s at 320 kbps. -Technica ATH-M50x - to understand the difference. I compared the ATH-M50x with a dozen different full-size headphones (including those that are much more expensive) and came to the conclusion that for me the sound of the ATH-M50x is actually a reference. I will write an article about this later and explain why I think so. I will also soon get acquainted with the Audio-Technica ATH-M70x - it will be interesting to compare with the M50x. So, in comparison with the M50x, the sound of these headphones gives a slightly brighter and clearly "tight" bass, but this noticeably affects the overall sound detail - it deteriorates a little, especially in terms of medium and high. At the same time, of course, the wired sound in these headphones cannot be called either bad or even average - the sound is cool, but there are certain features: a noticeable rise in bass, which gives special "velvet" bass, but slightly reduces the detail of the mids and highs, which are quite good, but in the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x, the mids and highs sound cleaner and better. However, the most important thing, of course, is the sound of these headphones on wireless communication using the aptX HD codec, because for the sake of this everything was started. These headphones also support Sony's proprietary LDAC technology, and with the appropriate smartphones, you can also get good results there, but the Mate 10 Pro supports aptX HD and does not support LDAC, so I could test this particular codec - that's what I was very interested in. So , the sound of these headphones with Mate 10 Pro wirelessly in active mode. The test also played FLAC tracks in a variety of genres. Wireless audio quality is, well, amazing. It's certainly different than listening to a good source over the wire, but it's clearly even better than CD quality. At the same time, the peculiarity of specific headphones is preserved: the bass rises in a certain way and becomes very bright, but at the same time it becomes more booming and this also slightly negatively affects the detailing of mids and highs. For compositions where the bass is not so bright, it listens very well, but as soon as the bass prevails (Solamente una vez Bocelli, Quincy Jones's Secret Garden) - there already begins some "blur": there is too much bass and it is not too detailed. In this case, I can’t compare with ATH-M50x headphones, so I compare it with wireless headphones that are not comparable in price, which support the previous aptX codec (of course, the smartphone also supports it, there is compatibility from top to bottom). I listen to the same songs. The soundstage is clearly narrower, the bass is more like a hint, but the detail is slightly better and the mids with highs are clearer and brighter. That is, I felt an improvement in quality when using aptX HD, but certain features of sound processing in Sony headphones play a role. I understand that they adjust the sound in accordance with some average user preferences, but when you compare even with cheap headphones, you feel that you are missing something: in exchange for a raised and more voluminous bass, mids and highs suffer. However, some users probably like this approach, because these are very individual things and individual preferences. Active noise canceling Tested the operation of active noise reduction. Yes, the surrounding noise significantly reduces, and if you also listen to high-quality music, you can turn away from the surrounding rough world and soar with your soul. However, I should note that the quality of the noise reduction is still inferior to those that I constantly take with me on trips precisely because of the noise reduction and due to the fact that these headphones sit very softly on my ears. Test Observations and Conclusions These headphones sit quite comfortably on my head, do not press, and after a couple of hours of wearing them for a walk, I did not get tired of them. I didn’t really like the gesture control on the outer surface of the right cup, because while walking, up and down gestures and sideways gestures are not too different from each other, so there were situations when I jumped to the next or previous track instead of increasing or decreasing the sound. often - and it's really very annoying. I would still prefer the usual rocker to switch tracks and a rocker or wheel to adjust the volume. I remember that this cup gesture control system was used a long time ago (I had a Parrot Zik with such a system), but I didn’t like it then, and I don’t like it now. The noise reduction on/off button is easy to grope for, and the wireless on/off button is almost not groped blindly, but this is just not a problem. In headset mode, the headphones work well: I heard the caller perfectly, I was also quite normal in a noisy street environment. How much, in my opinion, does it make sense to buy such headphones for listening to quality music over a wireless connection? Well, let's just say, until I would recommend this particular model. As wired headphones, as wireless ones with noise reduction - they are not bad, but I would still try to compare them with competitors - precisely wirelessly using this codec. I looked - the closest in price wireless full-format from the official list is Audio-Technica ATHDSR7BT. They are more expensive by €87 (on Amazon they cost €366), but something tells me that it might be worth it, so let's check it out. because quality sound via Bluetooth - this is of interest to many, so I want to achieve the highest possible quality, while taking into account a reasonable cost.
