There is a slider on the wire for connecting wires, however, due to the presence of a remote control, there is not much point in it - except perhaps to make it easier to wind the headphones onto the frame.

The left earpiece can be distinguished from the right one both by the presence of a remote control on the wire going to the right earpiece, and by the letters L / R on the legs of the cases.

By the way, about the remote control. This is not a banal microphone with a button, like most third-party accessories, but a full-fledged remote control - with a volume control. The speech quality is acceptable, the microphone predictably gives in to gusts of wind.

Noise isolation turned out to be at an unexpectedly low level for a “reinforcement”, in addition, there is a fairly strong microphone effect. The rest of the wire is good, practically does not tangle. The plug is straight, quite miniature.

Thus, the ergonomics of the headphones is average, at the level of rather high-quality dynamic headphones.

Sound

The headphones were tested with the Hifiman HM-801 player. The test disc Prime Test CD1 was used, as well as a selection of various tracks.

In my opinion, the main “horse” of the headphones is the mids. Guitars, vocals - it all sounds great. But with low frequencies (as well as with high ones), the situation is not so good. The bass is shallow, but we must pay tribute - they did not try to lift it up in the midbass area. High frequencies are somewhat lacking, they feel cloudy. The stereo panorama is quite wide, there is a slight effect of depth.

Headphones are “fast”, with high sensitivity, they play complex compositions well - at least they don’t choke.

In general, I would say that Apple In-Ear is universal - suitable for many genres, but you should not expect miracles from them. But if you do not make high demands on sound quality, they will hardly disappoint you.

Compatibility

To begin with - with what I generally tried the headset. These are iPhone 4 (there were no problems with it), BlackBerry 9800 Torch (the remote control only worked to pause playback, the microphone did not work), BlackBerry 8520 Curve (the device simply did not “notice” the connected accessory). There are no problems with the players, the headset works as headphones, everything is standard.

I can’t say that something has seriously changed from replacing the source from the Hifiman HM-801 to the iPhone 4. Not at all, Apple In-Ear are undemanding to the source and give the same sound quality, except that the detail is a little less and the scene is not spelled out so well. So do not be afraid that they "do not fit" to some kind of player or phone. Just do not forget about the compatibility of the remote control. You can, of course, take them to iPod Touch- you will also be able to use the same Skype - but it's up to you to decide.

Competitors

For money comparable to Apple In-Ear, you can buy Monster Jamz Mobile, they have no problems with compatibility with other devices (there are adapters included, including for BlackBerry), but a simpler remote control. An overview of this model will soon appear on the site.

Slightly more expensive - about 5 thousand rubles - Phonak Audeo, these "reinforcing" headphones also have a "stripped down" remote, but they sound much more interesting.

By the way, in the specifications, the company claims that the headphones are two-way - and so, I did not feel it. More like a dual emitter.
