In subsequent years, ASBIS enter the stock exchanges in Poland and the UK. The company's shares are selling quite successfully. 2009 was marked by difficult times. The reason was the crisis that the world economy was going through at that time. Be that as it may, the holding began to work on overcoming the difficulties. He concludes more than two dozen agreements.
In 2011 ASBIS start selling tablets. Next year, smartphones, the manufacturer of which is listed as Prestigio, enter the market. This trademark has become the holding's own brand. It is the Prestigio GPS-navigator that takes the first place in Russia in terms of sales (its market share exceeds 25%). By 2012, the brand is one of the four largest domestic suppliers of tablets. At the same time, the holding is selling computer technology and software, as well as mobile devices. Products are supplied to Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian, Czech, Turkish, Belarusian, Russian, Italian, German and other markets.
The Cypriot headquarters of the holding coordinated the activities of the three logistics centers. The offices opened in these states also helped to deliver to dozens of countries. Android smartphones have been produced by the company since 2012. The line is called MultiPhone and includes more than fifteen models, which are presented in various price categories. Most mobile devices are designed for two SIM-cards.
In April 2013, the company begins to cooperate with Intel in the development of a new Prestigio smartphone. As a result, in the summer of the same year, the MultiPhone PAP5430 model was released. The smartphone runs on an Intel chip. In general, it turned out to be a typical mobile device running the Android system. It was equipped with 1 gigabyte of RAM, a 4.3-inch screen, an 8-megapixel main camera, a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and so on. Accumulator battery had a capacity of 2000 mAh (which provided an average duration of operation, as is usually the case with the latest devices based on the Android OS). The smartphone was made in the traditional touch devices form factor. It had a rectangular button and big screen. For convenience, the corners were slightly smoothed. In total, two classic color variations were offered - white and black. In general, the design turned out to be quite elegant. The mobile device fit perfectly in the hand.
The capacitive touch display of the PAP5430 was very sensitive. He was able to handle up to five touches at the same time. In the sun, the screen looked quite good. The device worked in 3G and 2G networks; also had Wi-Fi support. Naturally, the smartphone could also be used as a modem. The manufacturer equipped the main camera with an auto focus function. As for the optics, it was the most common. In general, the quality of the pictures for amateur mobile shooting turned out to be quite good. Focusing was accurate and fast enough. The PAP5430 mobile device was equipped with a traditional music player and the most common radio. The volume was quite decent, and the quality was not bad. The smartphone had MP3 support. During testing, the mobile device performed quite well. The signal was stable. In general, one could say that the main "highlight" of the device was the Intel chip. Tablets
Two tablets were presented at the event: a seven-inch Prestigio MultiPad 7.0 Prime Duo and an eight-inch Prestigio MultiPad 8.0 3G Note.
Prestigio MultiPad 7.0 Prime Duo
First, they talked about a seven-inch tablet. At the presentation, all its features were presented in one slide, but I will try to tell you more about them.
Let's start with the most important - the display. It uses a seven-inch screen with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels, multi-touch is supported up to five simultaneous touches, the matrix type is IPS +. The tablet itself was not presented at the booth, so it's too early to judge the screen.
As a filling, a dual-core Amlogic AML 8726-MX processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz is used, the amount of RAM is 1 GB, the internal storage capacity is 16 GB, there is a slot for a memory card, USB-Host is also supported through a special adapter.
The thickness of the tablet is only 8.9 mm.
The back is made of aluminium. The kit will come with a beautiful leather case-pocket. Personally, I prefer book cases, but, talking with colleagues after the presentation, I noted that some people prefer just such "pockets", so it's a matter of taste.
Battery capacity 3200 mAh. More about battery life we'll talk in a full review. However, having already dealt with tablets with a similar capacity, I can assume that the MultiPad 7.0 Prime Duo will last about four hours in video mode and seven in reading mode.
And I left the most “delicious” feature for last. The model works on Android 4.0, it is planned to upgrade to 4.1 Jelly Bean! If the company does not hesitate and promptly release this update, then the tablet will become much more interesting than its competitors.
Now about the price. To begin with, I remind you that only the Wi-Fi version will be on sale, without 3G. The recommended retail price will be 7,000 rubles, the start of sales is scheduled for December. The success of this tablet directly depends on the speed of its update to Android 4.1, since if you omit this fact, then iconBIT Matrix II immediately suggests itself as a competitor, whose price is this moment is 5,600 rubles.

Prestigio MultiPad 8.0 3G Note
The second model presented was an eight-inch tablet, main feature which, as you can see from its name, is the presence of a stylus.
At the same time, the 3G Note has a rather interesting stylus. One side of it looks like a regular Wacom stylus, and the other side looks like a thin pen. The thin part works thanks to the electromagnetic coating of the screen. On one of the ends there is a special switch that turns on this coating. After turning on, the screen processes only touches with the stylus and does not respond to fingers. Also for the tablet will be pre-installed several programs to work with the stylus, such as EverNote.
From the stylus, we smoothly move on to the appearance. The front side of the tablet is difficult to somehow change the video, so the 3G Note does not stand out from the front, but the back of the tablet is very pleased. It is made of matte rubberized plastic, pleasant to the touch. It's nice that Prestigio paid attention to the materials used.
The tablet comes with a carrying case. In my opinion, this is one of the best cases that comes with a tablet. This is not a simple leather craft, but a beautiful accessory. On the outside, the cover is made of a material that is somewhat similar to velvet. Inside there is a special compartment for the stylus.
Screen diagonal - eight inches, resolution - 1024x768 pixels, matrix type - IPS. The screen is covered with protective glass Gorilla Glass. Multitouch is supported, up to five simultaneous touches. Generally, good screen with standard resolution.

Separately pleased with the battery. Its capacity is 6000 mAh, which is quite impressive, usually ten-inch models have such a capacity. However, because of such a battery, the model turned out to be weighty, it feels like its weight is about 500 grams.
The tablet runs Android 4.0, again, an update to Android 4.1 is planned. In addition to standard Wi-Fi, the tablet is also equipped with a 3G module.
The recommended retail price of the device is 12 thousand rubles. On the one hand, the price tag looks a bit high, but let's not forget that this is one of the few tablets with a good stylus, in addition, the manufacturer has not stinted on good case materials and quality accessories.

Conclusion
To be honest, before today's presentation, I knew almost nothing about Prestigio (with the exception of constant spam from Prestigioplaza.com). I was genuinely surprised by the scale of the company, especially the fact that they are the fourth largest tablet sales in the CIS. I was very pleased that the company itself is developing devices (although the assembly is in China), and does not buy Chinese rubbish with a subsequent sticker of its logo (by the way, the design of Prestigio devices is handled by a design bureau from Germany). Separately, I note the good materials from which the presented tablets and smartphones are made. And, of course, it's great that so much attention is paid to the software component.
In conclusion, I’ll say that it’s still too early to draw any unambiguous conclusions about Prestigio, you need to get to know their devices better in order to see for yourself the speed of updates, the quality of materials, and much more, but even now I can say that the presented tablets are already interested, at least in their appearance and the materials used.
