Business and personal email is an integral part of life modern man. Fast sending mail messages allows you to effectively solve many problems, to be aware of all important events.

In the window that appears, you can easily find the "Import Contacts" option. It remains to obey all the requirements that the application will put forward.

Initially, you need to specify the location where the file with the csv extension is saved, then simply click on the "Open" button that appears. After that, an automatic process will start, successfully downloading all contacts to your iPhone. This completes the process of importing all the contacts that are important to you.

Thanks to such actions, you can always have important contacts with you, in your mobile gadget. Simultaneous storage email addresses on the computer and mobile devices allows you to be sure that irretrievable data loss is excluded.

And I already wanted to start the installation. But at the last moment, the user warned me that, for checking and sending, mail uses the Outlook mail client, which has a very large list of E-mail addresses that needs to be saved. That's what I'm going to tell you about now.

Earlier, I already described the lesson,. For example, I have been using this email client regularly for a long time. Every day my "Address book" was filled with addresses of friends and acquaintances. This contact list has saved me a lot of time. Firstly, it was difficult to remember all the contacts, and secondly, I could select the address I needed in 2 clicks, and not manually enter it. But how to save a list of addresses in Outlook, if you suddenly need to reinstall Microsoft Office, or in general operating system? I will talk about this in detail below.

    Save Contacts in Outlook

So, having opened Outlook, go to the section " Contacts". On the left will be displayed our " Address books”, and on the right their contents.

To save contacts in Outlook, click on " File” and choose “ Open". A list of actions will appear on the right in which we need the item “ Import».

In the window that opens, go down to the very bottom, mark " Export to file» and press « Further»

The next step is to select the type of file to be created. I recommend using " Comma Separated Values (Windows) ”, the file will be saved in .csv format, which means that we can use it not only in Outlook.

Specify the name and path to the address book storage location. To do this, use the button Review”, By clicking it, a folder selection window will appear, in my case, to save Outlook contacts, I chose " Desktop' and named the file ' The address book».

Before the start of the saving process, a list of actions will appear that will be performed after pressing the button " Ready". If you save only contacts, your window should look something like the one shown below.

After the end of saving, a .csv file appeared on my desktop, with the name "Address Book", which I will later use to restore the list of contacts after rearranging the operating system.

Restore contacts in Outlook using .csv file

To call the contacts recovery menu, click "File" -\u003e "Open" -\u003e "Import".

The same window will appear as when saving, although this time, we need to select the item “ Import from another program or file».

In the next window, in the file to import field, specify the storage location of our file, for this you can use the "Browse" button. Menu « Options» - here you need to specify what action to take when duplicates hit. We are offered to replace, allow the creation of duplicates and ignore duplicates. After indicating the path, mark the item that you like ( i use duplicates), press " Further».

Select the folder where the imported contact list will be placed.

In the window of completed actions, click on "Finish", as a result of which the process of restoring contacts in Outlook will start.

Now all your addresses will be saved in the "Contacts" menu.

Saving and restoring contacts in Outlook is very similar, just a few points change, so it's very easy to remember these actions. And that is very handy when reinstalling Windows.

The Outlook email client is so popular that it is used both at home and at work. On the one hand, this is good, because you have to deal with one program. On the other hand, this causes some difficulties. One of these difficulties is the transfer of contact book information. This problem is especially acute for those users who send work emails from home.

However, there is a solution to this problem and we will talk about how to solve it in this article.

Actually, the solution is quite simple. First, you need to upload all contacts to a file from one program and load them from the same file into another. Moreover, in a similar way, you can transfer contacts between different versions outlook.

We have already written about how to export a contact book, so today we will talk about import.

Now we click on the "Import and Export" button and proceed to the data import / export wizard.

By default, the item "Import from another program or file" is selected here, which is what we need. Therefore, without changing anything, click "Next" and proceed to the next step.

Now you need to select the type of file from which the data will be imported.

If you saved all the information in CSV format, then you need to select the "Comma Separated Values" option. If all the information is stored in a PST file, then the corresponding item.

Select the appropriate item and proceed to the next step.

Here you need to select the file itself, as well as select an action for duplicates.

In order to tell the wizard in which file the data is stored, click the "Browse ..." button.

Using the switch, select the appropriate action for recurring contacts and click "Next".

Now it remains to wait until Outlook finishes importing data. Thus, you can synchronize your contacts both in work Outlook and home.

Over time, with frequent use of e-mail, most users form a list of contacts with whom they correspond. And while the user is working with one mail client, he can freely use this very list of contacts. However, what if there is a need to switch to another email client - Outlook 2010?

To avoid having to re-create your contact list, Outlook has a useful feature called "Import". And how to use this function, we will consider in this manual.

So, if you have a need to transfer contacts to Outlook 2010, then you should use the Import / Export Contacts Wizard. To do this, go to the "File" menu and click on the "Open" item. Next, on the right side we find the "Import" button and click it.

Next, before us opens the window of the import / export wizard, which lists a list of possible actions. Since we are interested in importing contacts, here you can select both the “Import Internet addresses and mail” item, and “Import from another program or file”.

If you selected the item "Import Internet addresses and mail", then in this case the import / export wizard will offer you two options - this is import from the Eudora application's contacts file, and import from Outlook 4, 5 or 6 versions, as well as Windows mail.

Choose the right source and check the boxes against the required data. If you are going to import only contact data, then for this it is enough to check only the item "Import address book” (as shown in the screenshot above).

Once you have chosen the appropriate action, click the "Finish" button and wait for the process to end.

As soon as all the data is imported, the "Import Results" will appear (see screenshot above), where statistics will be displayed. Also, here you need to click the "Save to Inbox" button or just "OK".

Import from another program or file

If you have selected the item "Import from another program or file", you can download contacts from both mail client Lotus Organizer, as well as data from Access, Excel or a plain text file. It also imports from previous versions Outlook and contact management systems ACT!.

Having selected the desired import method, click on the "Next" button and here the wizard offers to select a data file (if you are importing from previous versions of Outlook, the wizard will try to find the data on its own). Also, here you need to choose one of the three actions for duplicates.

The next step is to specify where to store the imported data. Once you specify the location where the data will be loaded, you can proceed to the next step.

Here the import / export wizard asks you to confirm the actions.

At this stage, you can check the boxes for the actions that you want to perform. If you change your mind about importing something, then you just need to uncheck the necessary action.

Also at this stage, you can configure the correspondence of the file fields with the Outlook fields. To do this, just drag the name of the file fields (left list) to the corresponding field in Outlook (right list). Once you're done, click "OK".

When all the settings are done, click "Finish" and outlook will start importing data.

So, we have looked at how to import contacts into Outlook 2010. Thanks to the built-in wizard, this is quite easy to do. Thanks to this wizard, you can import contacts both from a specially prepared file and from previous versions of Outlook.
