The first surprise was the eight-inch display, which is not standard for 7 and 10-inch tablets, namely 8 inches, but it looks quite interesting and beautiful. The second, not very good surprise, was the display based on TFT, and not IPS, as expected. DNS Airtab E75 | Design and appearance
The front panel is made of smooth black plastic, which is quite easily soiled, so we recommend wiping the tablet regularly to prevent fingerprints from being visible on it. The edging around the screen is not the same, two centimeters on the sides, three centimeters at the top and bottom. This doesn’t seem like a very good solution to us, as it increases the size and weight of the tablet. At the same time, using the AirTab E75 often becomes less convenient: in games that require using the entire surface of the screen, such as Fruit Ninja, you cannot reach the center of the screen while holding the tablet in two hands. Thus, you have to either place the tablet on some surface so that there is no need to hold it, or play with one hand, but in Fruit Ninja this is not very comfortable.
Overall system performance
We used Smartbench 2012 1.0 to evaluate overall system performance. These tests are very similar to the 3DMark and SysMark suites in that they provide simple and easy-to-use performance indexes for two categories: productivity applications and games. DNS Airtab E75 | Conclusion
Compared to the two “older” models and, which recently visited our test laboratory, the 7-inch DNS Airtab E75 tablet made a good impression. Decent filling, 2-core powerful processor at 1.5 GHz and a 4-core GPU, coupled with a high-quality screen on an IPS matrix, will allow you to run programs and mobile games, without thinking about whether the tablet’s performance is enough. There were no problems with movies and music either.
In other areas the tablet didn't perform as well. Users who follow news from the tablet market are becoming more and more demanding, and for many, simply Wi-Fi and a weak camera on their tablet are not enough; they also want 3G/4G support, a built-in Bluetooth module, a decent camera that allows you to take pictures no worse than on a regular camera. In this regard, the DNS Airtab E75 is not encouraging.
Of course, you can come to terms with the tablet’s shortcomings, given the price of about 6.5 thousand rubles. For this money you can only buy a camera or a media player for your TV that allows you to watch movies. When you buy a tablet, even a “budget” one, you get all this at once, as well as the opportunity to play and surf the Internet.
Of course, the DNS AirTab E75 receives a slightly more limited set of functions than usual, for example, the absence of HDMI, but it can be recommended as a compact media player for watching movies and listening to music. In addition, the tablet can be used for reading, although an E-Ink book is still preferable. In general, although the DNS Airtab E75 tablet did not fully satisfy us, in the future it may become a good alternative to the same e-books with a TFT screen, which are more expensive but provide less functionality.
