Flashing the software part

  1. Download and install the program Xerox Companion Suite(link above).

Disassembly of the MFP.

Unscrew 2 bolts, press on the bottom latches, pry off the top latches and remove the side cover.

Soldering and firmware microcircuit.

You should work at a temperature of 260-300 degrees, if you solder at high temperatures, then the board may overheat, when the board overheats, the adhesive holding the tracks loses its property and the tracks fly off Figure 14. After you have soldered the 24C16 chip, you need to flash it in accordance with the software version (software) and the MINIBOOT version. The firmware is done by a microcircuit programmer, you can use a regular programmer with 2 resistors. Also, you can not flash the microcircuit, but solder a ready-made flashed another microcircuit. The cartridge has an absorber - a sponge in which the ink is located. From this sponge, they are fed into nozzles (nozzles). Nozzles are tubes of very small diameter. Each tube contains one or more thermocouples. During printing, the thermal elements heat up, the ink boils (an air bubble is obtained) and “shoots” onto the paper. Again, I have described very simplistically.
