Canon MG2440 and MG2540 E404 E464 E474 E484 using PG-445, PG-46, CL-446, CL-56 cartridges, the diaper is reset by flashing the memory chip with a special programmer.

For those printers whose diaper is made in the form of a separate cartridge with a separate chip, you can only reset.

The list of models for which additional service functions are available is in the Left window of the program.

The current list of supported printer models can be viewed in the program itself - the right window "Supported Models". In this case, information about your printer will be received by the developers, which will make it possible to add your model as soon as possible.

For those printers whose diaper is made in the form of a separate cartridge with a separate chip - it can only be reset by chip programmers

Description of additional functions for printers and support:

Device info

Displays the printer status, the amount of ink remaining, and various information: the number of cleanings, pages printed, serial number, last fatal error code, firmware version, etc.

Cleaning / bleeding ink

Performs cleaning, this operation consumes a large number of ink and can greatly increase waste counters.

Saves/restores printer EEPROM values. Depending on the printer, the following features may be available:

Dump - saving the values of EEPROM registers to a file on disk as hex values and ascii characters.

Restore - Writes the values from the file saved using the previous function to the EEPROM of the printer.

Serial number

Printhead ID

Setting a unique identifier for each head that sets the correction factors for the voltages applied to the nozzle groups. As a rule, this is a string of characters pasted in the head itself near the ink supply holes.

Sheet Feed - Feeds the sheet several lines forward.

Paper Feed Test - The printer picks up and skips the selected number of sheets.

Nozzle test - prints a nozzle test ("ladder") and printer ID.

Print mode test - print a color pattern with different drop sizes.

Automatic cleaning

Writes values to EEPROM, after which the next time the printer is turned on, automatic cleaning will start. When the printer is turned on, this function can, on the contrary, turn off automatic cleaning, for reverse connection you need to turn it on again before turning off the printer.

  • Debian 8.0.
  • Mint 15.0, 16.0, 17.0.
  • "In active operation inkjet printer there comes a moment when the printer refuses to work and gives an error message, requiring you to contact service center. Depending on the printer model, the notification of this error occurs in different ways, but the most standard way an error message is the alternate blinking of two red LEDs under the printer buttons, and an error window pops up on the computer monitor.

Moreover, a warning about the imminent end of the life of the absorbent pad (diaper) also pops up in the form of a system message on the computer monitor.

After the warning message appears, you have the opportunity to print another 15-20 images (photos) of A4 format, after which the printer will refuse to print until the waste ink counter is reset.

All inkjet printers use a special container to collect waste ink (Waste Ink), which is often called a “diaper” quite often. This "diaper" is a container in which there is an absorbent material that absorbs waste ink well.

Where does waste ink come from in an inkjet printer? Each time it is turned on, the print head is automatically cleaned - a small amount of ink is pumped from the cartridges into the print head, which at that moment is in the extreme right (left) position of the printer, and the ink is "dumped" into the "diaper". Also, when regular cleanings are started through the printer driver, ink is pumped from the cartridges through the print head into the absorber.

Since the volume of the ink collection tank with the absorber in it has a certain limitation, sooner or later, there comes a moment when the tanks overflow and the ink begins to leak out, which causes pollution of both the printer itself and everything that surrounds it. .

To avoid such an extremely unpleasant situation, absolutely all inkjet printers are equipped with a system for monitoring the amount of waste ink. In reality, this system is nothing more than a software counter that counts the number of times the printer has been turned on and all head cleaning procedures performed. Since the volume of ink pumped out of the head during cleaning procedures is approximately known, and the capacity of the sump is also known, it is not difficult to calculate when it is full.

When the value of the counter of the amount of waste ink, supposedly drained into the sump, reaches the value preset in the printer's control program, the printer first issues a warning about the imminent end of the life of the absorbent pad, and soon completely blocks the ability to send a print job.

When the "diaper" of the inkjet printer is overfilled, the service specialist must take the following actions:

    • replace absorbers - "diapers"
    • reset (reset) the Waste Ink Counter).

You can reset the "diaper" waste ink counter using the special PrintHelp service program from the SuperPrint development team (Resetters). PrintHelp- universal service program for printers Epson, Canon.

The program can perform the following functions for Epson printers (not for all models):

    - checking the current value of the waste ink counter
    - reset the waste ink counter (some models require a RESET CODE)
    - cleaning the print head
    - enhanced cleaning of the print head during initial refueling
    - read and write printer serial number
    - read and write USB ID
    - read and write HEAD ID
    - creating an EEPROM backup dump
    - paper feed test
    - nozzle check and test
    - printout of color fills
    - initialize (disable) PF deterioration offset
    - getting the status of the printer
    - read ink level

For those printers in which the diaper is made in the form of a separate cartridge with a separate chip, it can only be reset by chip programmers.

Using the program free. All functions are supported incl. and diaper reset function. For some models, this function works after entering

Hi all! Today I will show how to reset the diaper on the Epson XP-302 printer, but this example can be reset on other models. At relatives, the printer began to print in black and yellow. They sent it in for repair, they were told that it was impossible to make it, some codes were needed ... Well, I decided to figure it out ...

At first I thought, I'll do a few calibrations and everything will be decided ... But the printer began to give out this message: The life of the ink-absorbing lining has expired.

I started to google what it is in general) On the Internet there is a program for resetting epson counters, called PrintHelp, but it asks for codes that you need to buy! Well, this is not the case) But on some printers, it turns out to reset Epson diapers for free.

If PrintHelp did not reset the counter for you for free, then on the Internet there is the Epson Adjustment Program (epson forbade it to be uploaded).

If the program does not help, then you can try the SSC Service Utility or. We launch the program to reset the epson diaper. It's called the Epson Adjustment program. So if suddenly it doesn’t work for your printer, then look for another version.

And so, after starting, select the model and port:

If your model is not available, it's okay, just choose like mine.

The main thing is that the drivers are installed. Otherwise, the program will not see the printer port. Click OK and then select Paricular adjutment mode.

Select the waste ink pad counter. This is an ink and diaper counter.

We put all the checkboxes and click Check, thereby we will check the counters.

I have already reset the counter and managed to print a certain number of pages. But if your printer swears at diapers, then in the lower field you will have a value of 100%. Select the top counter and click Initialization, i.e. Epson counter reset.

The program will ask you to turn off the printer.

We press ok, after it turns on and we can check. Highlight the top checkbox and click check again.

As we see the reset diaper Epson completed successfully! But do not forget that Epson does not give out such an error for nothing. In addition to resetting, I also recommend cleaning the gasket under the cartridges.

If someone got here by accident, then it will not be about children. Pamers is the name of the absorber, which was given by the users themselves. Of himself, he is a whole system, starting with a sponge or rug made from an absorbent; located at the bottom of the printer housing. It is designed to store the ink collected during the pumping of the print head.

If you paid attention when replacing cartridges, the print head is parked on a special thin sponge where excess ink collects. This sponge is connected to a tube designed to drain paint into the diaper container. There is also a sensor that counts waste ink. He is responsible for notifying the user when the absorber is completely filled, which indicates that it is time to start the procedure for resetting the diaper, that is, resetting the ink that has accumulated over a long period of operation.

It is not so difficult to avoid overfilling the diaper with large volumes of printing. It can be brought outside, monitor its fullness and timely pour out the waste ink. The procedure can be carried out after the expiration of the warranty period for the printing device.

To reset the Epson diaper, open the access cover located on the back of the printer. Here you will find the same sublimation ink withdrawal tube, as well as felt along it - the diaper itself. The end of this tube must be removed and lengthened with a similar tube (for example, a cut of the dropper tube). The length of the tube will depend on the chosen location of the jar where the ink will drain.

The next question under consideration is how can I reset the waste ink counter? After all, the program does not know about our intervention in the printer.

To carry out the reset procedure, you need to install a special program. Before proceeding to unpack it, the date on the PC must be changed to "April 1, 2008". We start the launch and agree to the requirements by clicking Accept. After you need to select the item Particular Adjustment Mode. Here you will see several sections. We go to Maintenance, note Waste Ink Pad Counter tick and confirm with the button OK. In the tab that appears, check the boxes, click Check. At the end of the check, check the boxes again, click initialization. At the end of this entire sequence, your printer's diaper will be reset to zero. Next, the program will prompt you to turn off the printer, and later turn it on again. This will be followed by a message about the successful completion of the reset. If you want to check everything yourself, then uncheck the marked boxes and select Check.

    You can print!

If a Epson printer WF-7015 / WF-7515 / WF-752 stopped printing and gives an error that it needs maintenance, and asks to contact the service center - then, most likely, it needs a procedure for resetting the waste counters. In this article Sit Master will show in detail how to do it at home.

First, turn on the printer and connect it via USB to your PC.

Thereafter download debugger archive for your WP-7XXX printer:

Unzip the archive to a location convenient for you and run AdjProg.exe

Before you will be a window with a license agreement, read and agree - click "Accept"

We select your model, region (destination) and port (preferably, instead of auto, select the one where your printer is connected). We press "OK"

    Click Particular Adjustment Mode

Choose Waste ink pad counter , double-click on the selected one or press "OK"

Tick "Main Pad Counter", press "Check". If the numbers in the windows exceed the threshold values, we reset the working counter!

Again check the box "Main Pad Counter" but press now "Initialization"

We see a warning that when the button is pressed "OK" counter will be reset. We press!

The program will ask you to turn off the printer. Properly turn off the printer, press "OK"

We get a message that the counter was successfully reset!

We turn on the printer - it should be unlocked! To check the reset, you can repeat the check-check action.

We will be glad if it helped you this instruction. We also have high-quality ink for this printer - contact us) laser cartridges, repair of printers and PCs, as well as laptops.
