Or have you figured out how to connect a printer to a laptop, but the laptop doesn't have a drive to insert the software media? The situations may be different, but one problem unites them - the need to install drivers for a printer without a disk.
How do I know which driver is needed?
In order for the connected equipment to work correctly, it is necessary to find suitable drivers. To successfully complete this task, you need to know:
- printer model.
- The version and bitness of the operating system.
Look at the exact model on the device case, the box from it or the user manual. You can find out the version and bit depth in the system properties:
Download drivers
To download faster Windows drivers 7 for the printer from the official website, use the search by model. Let's take Canon drivers as an example:
- Go to the manufacturer's website.
- Go to the "Support" - "For individual users" section.
- Click View All Products.
- Enter the exact printer model in the search box to find and download the installation disk.
