I like the Sony brand by itself, the menu too, easy to use

Unsurpassed compactness. These days, holding a smartphone with one hand and effortlessly reaching any corner with your thumb is a huge convenience and advantage! Fits in any, I emphasize, absolutely any pocket, so much so that you don’t even notice. - Reliable, durable, well-knocked pebble! Not a 5" record that you're afraid to bend or lay down carelessly. It’s easy to throw it on the sofa, it’s not a pity to accidentally drop it, it withstood it more than once and proved to be a strong fellow. - Works stably, if not overloaded. - Screen with good colors. And most importantly - the sensor responds very well. On even a small keyboard and without a swipe, I type with my thumb hoo, comparable to large screens, and all thanks to the clarity and accuracy of the touch display. - The bundled headset is much better

the price is just for homeless people like me assembly with a bang, so the phone does not take strength, it fell on everything in the world and every time the sound remained intact; with the active use of Wi-Fi or mobile Internet, it lives for at least 12 hours, easily a native launcher, specifically its appearance never gets bored and makes me happy every day

Affordable price. + Unrealistically strong case! + Charging holds up to 7 days in standby mode - alarm clock - standby! Over the years up to 4.5-5 days. If you use it in active mode (VK, Insta, WhatsApp, conversations, etc.), then it keeps charging for 2-2.5 days, after 2.5 years of use 1.5-2 days. + Sound quality + Excellent microphone + Indicator of messages (not only SMS, but also from VK!), Missed calls, discharge and charge. + High sensitivity + Turns off like a TV, which, in my opinion, is sooo cool;) + In my hands, he is alive (Read the comment, my phones die on the day of purchase, but here ... I am very pleased with the purchase!) + The backlight is not only the screen, but also the buttons - lovely. + Calmly pulls MMOs played with GooglePlay

    1. A good compact phone 2. It works fine 3. I dropped it more than once and everything is fine alive (tfu-tfu) 4. The network catches normally, I know that Sony's more expensive models have a problem with poor communication, but this one catches everything fine

This smartphone cannot boast of an ultra camera or super power, but it is solid and hardly lags at its 800 MH. The battery is also powerful enough, with 4 hours of wi fi distribution, 40% of the charge remained on it. But with its thickness it is easy to feel in your pocket

    Camera and viewing angles

    1. Stability of work, even if slightly loaded, out ... 2. Small, bespontovy display. 3. Weak percent and operatives are sorely lacking. 4. Camera. It's best not to run it.

The sensor after 4 years of use is buggy specifically, in bad weather it is impossible to dial a number or just dig into the phone, the buttons switch by themselves

Weak hardware, RAM is sorely lacking for full-fledged work (heavy browsers and sites slow down (Puffin helps out), oh modern games I am silent, and it is not necessary on such a screen). In the bright summer sun, the screen fades, something can only be distinguished at maximum brightness. The screen, if you hold it a little in the wind or frost, begins to live its own life. Four sound. C grade camera with a slight minus. Shoot a schedule, a document with a small font, or a portrait with a landscape in the style of oil painting :)

the camera is soapy and not suitable for photographing texts (however, if you cheat with the white balance and capture some kind of street landscape, it will turn out quite picturesque: h) during use, there are frequent lags and small freezes (for me they turned out to be tolerable, but this is still a minus, so I'm writing here) there is little memory, including RAM, there are a couple of applications that cannot be deleted, and which I never use .. they annoy with their existence in my comfortably equipped menu (

The camera really sucked. Soapy. - At the back, a convex green thing, like a strass, flew out of me on the very first day I put on the cover. - When you stand under a downpour or under a snow blizzard, the screen lags. You have to wipe it with your sleeve very often. (Sorry to all technology lovers =D)

Of course, it is better not to use it in the wind in winter, the sensor starts to play pranks. And another disadvantage of this device is its processor. When on most android smartphones they put from 1000 mgz on tipo only 800.

Introduction

Sony releases many devices with a similar design, which can be called borrowed from the Xpreia S. At the same time, the company is trying to create other devices, at least in terms of design, such as the ST21i. After the introduction of Xperia on the market, the manufacturer was faced with the fact that the company had one new device and another one that was more expensive. Variations of these devices do not attract much attention, but they are followed by the ST21i.

This device is very different not only in size and design, but also in price, it is positioned as a replacement for the Xperia Mini / Xperia Mini Pro, although the latter use much better materials, iron - for their time. The ST21i is an attempt Sony to attract consumers with a low price, offering Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but making them forget about a two-year-old hardware platform, a cheap and small screen, which are just acceptable for work.

Design, dimensions, controls

Finally, Sony decided to show a phone that is not a cheap replica of the Xperia S design. The design of the ST21i is simple, there is nothing superfluous in it, except for one detail - the recess under the touch keys at the bottom of the case. The size of the phone is small for most people and will fit perfectly in any pocket. The weight of the phone is well balanced, it doesn't feel light or cheap, but it's not heavy either. The back wall is made of fairly thick plastic, it is a soft touch, there is no feeling of cheapness. The only thing that betrays the budget nature of this phone is the screen. Its protective plastic looks cheap, however, the resolution and picture quality are disappointing.

Despite its price tag, the ST21i leaves a much better impression of materials and design than older models like the Xperia U.

On the front surface of the device, the main part is occupied by the screen, under it there are three touch keys. Despite the fact that ICS is inside, these keys were left due to the low resolution. There is also a proximity sensor and a light indicator, both hidden behind dark plastic and almost invisible.

On the left side of the device is a microUSB connector, it is used both for charging and for connecting to a PC. On the right side are the volume keys and a small strap hole. The on/off button is located on the top, along with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. At the bottom there is a recess to open the back cover. On the back surface, you can see the main speaker, as well as a 3-megapixel camera.

Display

Considering that this model is budget, you should not expect much from the screen. Standard HVGA screen (320x480 pixels) with acceptable color reproduction, dominated by blue tint. Here we must make an important remark. Sony is updating current devices to ICS and now, on devices with a similar screen resolution, this android version not yet used by Sony. In this regard, some controls are rendered clumsily, but this will be fixed later. I would like the screen to be more responsive when touched, but for a budget product, everything is acceptable here.

Despite the presence of an automatic light indicator, there is no such option in the settings. It is possible that it will appear with a firmware update of the phone.

Battery

The phone uses a well-known BA-700 battery with a capacity of 1450 mAh. Since this device is still under development, it makes little sense to measure the duration of work from a single charge. But based on the experience of previous models and the corresponding hardware, we can assume that the device will easily work for about two days.

Communications

All usual and traditional communications are presented in the phone.

Bluetooth. Version 2.1, A2DP and a number of other profiles are also supported

WiFi. The usual protocol is 802.11 b/g, no problems have been noticed, the device can be used as an access point.

USB. You can connect your phone to a PC, but so far only the MTP standard is supported.

Memory, platform

The phone has 512 MB random access memory and almost 3 GB of internal storage for your files. Unlike older models, there is a slot for memory cards, and you can install a card of any size.

The device uses a Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with an ARM11 processor with a frequency of 800 MHz and a rather old Adreno 200 graphics accelerator. There are no problems running pre-installed programs, but trying to open a heavy web page or launch Angry Birds Space will not lead to anything. This phone is designed to be used only with standard applications or not too heavy.

Camera

Regular 3-megapixel camera, no autofocus. The photo quality is good enough for social networks, but when viewed on a computer, you will see all the flaws in the picture. It is possible to record video, but the maximum resolution is 640x480 pixels, the quality also leaves much to be desired. The camera interface is familiar from other products of the company, but there are no complex functions, since the camera is budget.

Software

This is the first sony phone in the budget segment and with hardware that is already two years old, but working with ICS. AT this moment the phone is under development, and therefore it is impossible to say that nothing will change. Much will change and it is not worth evaluating the device. The main thing is that the ICS version works acceptable on older hardware, although it does not support "heavy" applications.

Conclusion

The phone has no problems with call quality, speaker volume is excellent and sometimes even excessive.

The role of this device in Sony lineup interesting, it does not resonate in design with other models, those that originated from Sony Xperia S. The company is trying to exploit the fact that manufacturing in Asia or China does not mean Low quality devices. Compared with ZTE phones, at Sony are able to achieve best quality at a lower price (still can). Having received from Sony Ericsson as a legacy of the software development team, as well as interfaces, Sony can install a different shell on their phones or make it more attractive, which is not available to Chinese companies. Due to this, the company can win in the budget segment.

For a price of 200 euros at launch, this phone remains expensive for most users. For a little less money you can buy Samsung Galaxy Ace, built on the same hardware, but with better body materials and a slightly larger and better screen. It's very important for Sony to be the first company to bring Ice Cream Sandwich to the budget segment, and it's important to try and make a profit out of it. Whether this will be possible, we will find out in the very near future. It is possible that someone will be able to overtake Sony in this field.

Over the past few years, particular popularity in the market mobile devices found This is logical, because one device can serve with two SIM cards at once, which makes its use very convenient and practical. Let's say you don't need to carry a second device with you or constantly ask friends to call another operator's number. And you don’t need to overpay for Internet connection services either, because one phone embodies the functionality of two devices at once.

You will not be able to guess which model will be considered in our today's article, since such devices a large number of. So we give the answer: mobile phone Tipo, which embodies multitasking, performance, design and affordable price. Read more about it in this article.

general information

So, the device was put on sale in 2012. It was then that it immediately became the object of everyone's attention - the new Sony Xperia Tipo was repeatedly described in various reviews that carefully advertised the device, focusing users on the mass of advantages available to them.

Then there were not so many devices with two SIM cards, so the Tipo model gained popularity quickly enough. The advantage of the device was a relatively low price and a set of advantages such as high-quality assembly or well-chosen materials. And don't forget about the company that supplies the best camera sensors on the market; it is necessary to study its proposals and take a closer look at them. What we did in the process of writing the article.

Thus, let's start with the appearance of the smartphone - we will describe the body, design and appearance of the device, that is, how it is seen for the first time.

Body and appearance

The Sony Xperia Tipo phone itself has relatively small, one might even say compact dimensions - it fits completely in the palm of your hand. Such a handy little "dialer".

As for the case materials, from the side it seems: it is metal (the device looks solid). However, upon closer examination, one can guess that this is just painted plastic. As soon as the gadget falls into the hands - it becomes obvious. Also, first of all, you notice another sign of the device - its thickness. As stated in the technical specifications, it is about 13 millimeters! Imagine how uncomfortable the Sony Xperia Tipo is in the pocket of tight pants or jeans!

Regarding how the smartphone lies in the hand, you can also have a lot of controversy. In the reviews, some users are outraged that the device tends to slip out of their hands during a conversation due to its rectangular shape with rounded corners. Another version is that working with a smartphone, on the contrary, is very convenient due to its weight and massiveness. It is useless to argue about this, because for each user, how convenient the design of the device is, is a purely individual thing. We recommend that if you suddenly want to purchase this outdated (today's) model, first hold it in your hands.

Due to the compact size of the case in the Sony Xperia Tipo, access to the memory card and SIM cards is a little difficult. As the owners of the device testify in the reviews, it is necessary to remove the battery, only after which access to the “inner world” of the smartphone will open. SIM cards are located in two tiers, so there may also be problems with their removal - it will not be possible to do this on the go.

Navigation

After what our Tipo looks like, I would like to describe also its navigation tools, in particular, a row of physical keys located under the screen. They are still present on many smartphones today, since there is a convenient enough place to find them. We are talking about the buttons "Home", "Back" and "Properties". Users complain that the backlight of this row only works for a short time when pressed - it is impossible to set them to glow constantly.

In addition to these, there are also keys for adjusting the sound, switching SIM cards, and unlocking the screen. The latter is located on the left side of the device on the top, and the two previous ones - on the right edge. If everything is clear with the unlock button and the sound rocker, then with regard to the switch button, it is worth noting that this is a key that allows you to choose between cards (which one will be active for an outgoing call). Implemented, however, quite convenient.

Screen

From the body and buttons, we smoothly move on to the main control element of the smartphone - its display. The Sony Xperia Tipo has a 3.2-inch screen. Its parameters, of course, leave much to be desired - this is a resolution of 320 by 480 pixels (as in the good old keyboard smartphones), TFT technology and a large thick frame around the glass. Although multi-touch is already supported here, so the buyer already has advanced device control options.

With such characteristics, of course, one should not expect the clearest and most colorful picture - even in 2012, mid-range devices had the best screens than the smartphone we are describing. One word - budget...

Despite this, the technical parameters indicate the presence of a protective coating for the display. If you believe this information, then with the help of it the smartphone screen is protected from scratches and chips.

CPU

By analogy with the screen, wait for the processor to be installed on Sony smartphone Xperia Tipo, will show the wonders of performance, it's not worth it. This is a relatively modest Qualcomm MSM7225A, clock frequency which (according to official technical data) is equal to 800 MHz. The device runs on a single core and loading it, as you understand, is not difficult. The Adreno 200 accelerator copes with the graphics - the "stuffing" matches the class of the phone.

Yes, operating room Android system this device will "pull", but there is no need to talk about the simultaneous launch of several games of an average level of visualization - here you can play something simpler. Yes, and 512 megabytes of RAM indicates this.

Battery

Hardy device, based on the capacity of its battery, is also difficult to call. The phone has a battery with a capacity of 1500 mAh. For a more "fancy" device, of course, this would be enough for a day of work. But considering that our phone has the simplest screen and the minimum processor performance, as reviews show, it can easily last up to two days on a single charge.

Basic actions like shutdown can help mobile internet, reduce screen brightness, sound volume, and the like. Again, this confirms the orientation of the phone to calls, and not to the multimedia component. Although with a durable battery, you can watch movies and listen to music for a long time on the road.

Connection

Despite the fact that we are talking about the characteristics describing the Sony Xperia Tipo, they indicate the presence of Bluetooth communication support, Wi-Fi connectivity, and the ability to work with 3G mobile Internet. There is even GPS here, which indicates the versatility of the device, its wide profile of work.

All these services can be disabled when not needed and thus increase the phone's operating time (as we wrote about above).

Camera

The device has only one camera (rear). True, you cannot rely on it - it has a resolution of 3.2 megapixels (obviously a technologically backward solution) without flash and autofocus. It is not difficult to guess that it is even difficult to make out the printed text on the images received using the phone. We're not talking about color balance, long distance clarity, and so on.

The developers of the Sony Xperia Tipo (the specifications confirm this) made it clear that this device is not suitable for photo lovers. The maximum that such a camera is suitable for is to take pictures “on the go”, to photograph some of the simplest objects in maximum lighting. Well, it’s clear that a phone with two SIM cards is for calls!

Memory

With volume internal memory on this device, everything is "really bad." Initially, the phone has 2.9 GB shared memory, of which the user can use only 2.2 GB, since the rest is designed for system files.

As already mentioned, under back cover device has a slot for a memory card. Due to it, the user can expand it up to 32 GB. A useful feature for fans of serials, for example.

Also, given the support for 3D games on this smartphone, you can download several entertainment applications to it and thus turn it into a gaming center. There are a lot of variations - and with 32 GB of memory, all of them can become a reality.

Other Options

To be honest, the Sony Xperia Tipo (reviews confirm this) does not even have any additional features that should be mentioned. The phone has a solid appearance that does not correspond to its real "stuffing". Therefore, there is no need to talk about any additions.

At the software level, there is a good base here - voice search, multimedia player, standard browser, Gmail mail client, google maps and a number of other programs needed in the work. Plus, download those that interest you, you can additionally in the catalog Google Apps play. This makes it possible to make budget phone for 2 "sim cards" a real office smartphone designed for work.

1.62 W/kg (watt per kilogram)
Head SAR (US)

The SAR level indicates the maximum amount of electromagnetic radiation that the human body is exposed to when holding a mobile device near the ear. The maximum value used in the US is 1.6 W/kg per gram of human tissue. Mobile devices in the US are controlled by the CTIA and the FCC conducts tests and sets their SAR values.

1.28 W/kg (watt per kilogram)
Body SAR (US)

The SAR level indicates the maximum amount of electromagnetic radiation that the human body is exposed to when holding a mobile device at hip level. The highest acceptable SAR value in the US is 1.6 W/kg per gram of human tissue. This value is set by the FCC, and the CTIA controls whether mobile devices comply with this standard.
