Installation and configuration of satellite equipment. Installation of video surveillance systems: installation and configuration of equipment

Tricolor TV installation procedure in a nutshell.

Tricolor TV equipment can be installed and configured without the involvement of a specialist, that is, independently. Immediately after buying a kit in the store, it is not necessary to call an installer, you can save money by doing everything yourself, guided by the tips below.

In fact, installing the entire kit is not at all difficult. In terms of complexity, this procedure is almost no different from the DVD installation event. When a person buys a Tricolor TV kit, he can ask the seller for an already assembled antenna. This will save a lot of time later on. The receiver included in the kit must be configured, because the service for setting up the set-top box is free. You just have to drill 2-4 (as many as you need) holes at home so that you can fix the plate, and then proceed in accordance with the recommendations of the instructions. The instruction should be included with the purchase, but it is still better to double-check its availability in the store.

Mounting Tools: Screwdriver ( desired type), a drill or a puncher, wrenches for 8, 10.13, strong pliers, a sharp knife and strong electrical tape will come in handy.

Briefly about the whole procedure: the remote control adjusts the signal scale until a clear picture of what is happening on TV is visible. One person monitors the image on the TV screen, while the other conjures over the antenna.

When the antenna is installed, as an orientation, the antenna should be directed in the direction where the sun is at 12.30 (this is for Samara and Tolyatti). After that, you need to twist the antenna a little to the right and left until the tuner finds a wave that allows the TV to show a clear, understandable, good image. The one who monitors the situation at the TV should comment on what is happening on the monitor to the one who turns the plate. This can be done by shouting mobile phone, walkie-talkie or another intermediary. As soon as the signal is caught, the dish will need to be fixed in a position that allows you to catch this very signal.

To catch a signal, hitting 36 degrees, is not as difficult as it might seem from the outside. The Eutelsat 4 Tricolor TV satellite covers most of Russia (in any case, it accurately covers its European part) and gives a very good, "prominent" signal.

Standard kit (without bonuses) Tricolor TV contains an antenna, a bracket for a dish (wall mount), a receiver (set-top box) and a converter.

Installation instructions Tricolor TV. Her official version

The Tricolor TV broadcasting company broadcasts via satellite EUTELSATW4 (36°E) to the territory of the European part of the Russian Federation. Antenna installation is as follows:

1. Determination of the place where the Tricolor TV antenna will be installed

The key criterion for determining the location of the antenna is the free view of the dish in the direction where the satellite is located. This means that on the conditional speculative line connecting the dish and the satellite, there should not be objects that will interrupt this imaginary line. This refers to trees, architectural structures, etc. In the city of Tolyatti, this conditional line should be raised horizontally upwards by 27 degrees. This angle is measured from the extreme point of the antenna to the location of the satellite. If the plate is close to the TV and generally available to the owner, this will greatly simplify the entire installation and setup procedure. It is best to place the antenna on the outside of the loggia, balcony, outside the window or on the roof of your house. It is not recommended to mount the antenna indoors - in the inside of a balcony or loggia, if they are glazed. It is not advisable to mount the plate in places where snow, rain and ice will fall on the structure in large volumes. These are places with sloping roofs, as well as places where there is a spillway nearby.

2. Mounting the Tricolor TV antenna

It is necessary to assemble the antenna in the order and in the manner indicated in the instructions. Fasten the bracket at the place where the plate is to be mounted. Elements for fasteners (screws, studs, nuts, anchor bolts) are selected based on what wall material and what wind load will be in this area. The converter to holders must be installed in such a way that it is hidden from the effects of atmospheric precipitation. The main thing is that snow and rain cannot be inside the converter. Next, the cable is connected to the converter using the F-connector (it can be found in the Tricolor TV kit). Using electrical tape or plastic ties, you need to attach the cable to the arc of the converter holder. It must be remembered that the F-connector needs to be sealed. This is where heat shrink tubing comes in handy. Also, sealing can be done with two layers of electrical tape or electrical tape lubricated with silicone sealant. Then the plate is installed on the bracket. To prevent the wind from knocking the angle of the dish, the adjusting nuts should be tightened so that the antenna can be moved up and down with only some effort. The cable is attached to the bracket with electrical tape or plastic ties. Leave a small loop of cable near the antenna.

Mounting standard satellites F-connectors

It is necessary to remove the upper insulation of the cable by approximately 15 mm. The shielding braid must not be damaged. The shielding braid is located along the cable. Next, you need to carefully place the foil along the shielding braid. Then remove a layer of internal insulation by 10 mm. The connector should be screwed in all the way. Next, remove the tail of the center conductor, as it should not protrude beyond the connector more than 2 mm.

3. Setting up the Tricolor TV antenna

First, approximately set the azimuth and angle of rotation of the antenna. For the city of Tolyatti, the azimuth is 197.49° (orient to the south), and the elevation angle is 27.884°. The compass will help set the azimuth. However, it is recommended to look for the azimuth using a city map (for the city). This is because the influence of electromagnetic fields can interfere with the accurate readings of the compass. In rural areas (for example, to give), a compass is suitable.

Antenna "Supral - 0.6" in a vertical position should correspond to an elevation angle of 26.6 °. This suggests that the plate will need to be tilted down by 3-4 °. Next, you should connect the cable coming from the converter to the set-top box jack - to the LNBIN of the receiver. The preparation of the F-connector is carried out according to the instructions given above. According to the instructions, you need to connect the cable to the TV, then turn off the TV. On the receiver that is turned on for the first time, the LNB power may be turned off. This statement is true for some firmware. To turn on the power, you need to follow the instructions in the start menu. We must not forget that the search is activated. It can be canceled with the EXIT button on the remote control.

You need to enter the "Settings" menu. Enter pin - 0000. Manual search. A window will open in which you will need to set certain parameters. You will need to provide the following information:

Antenna - 1

Satellite name - EutelsatW4-EutelsatSesat

Frequency - 12226

Polarization - left

Flow rate - 27500

FEC-3/4

Pay attention to the two indicators located in the right corner of the window. The top one is the signal quality and the bottom one is the signal strength. A discrete scale will have a repetition of information, but already in a digital value. It is necessary to slowly move the antenna mirror to the right or left (but in a southerly direction) in order to achieve a signal, and then find the dish position point, which allows you to catch the maximum signal level. To do this, you need to follow the lower indicator. After this procedure, you need to slowly move the plate up or down to find the position that will allow you to see on the indicator maximum quality signal (upper indicator). After the ideal point is found horizontally and vertically, it is necessary to fix the plate in this position. By the way, we must not forget that the signal level is determined by weather conditions: dense clouds, heavy rain, snowfall not only worsen signal reception, but can also lead to the disappearance of the broadcast image. If snow sticks to the antenna, this will also affect the quality of signal reception. It is necessary to tighten the adjusting nuts well, but at the same time, control the adjusted signal level.

After that, you can start searching for channels and ordering them. The instruction manual for the receiver (set-top box) will help you figure this out.

Important!

  • Before setting up the receiver, make sure that the start menu is displayed on the TV screen.f To do this, remember to connect the set-top box to the TV. It is recommended to connect via AV input with low frequencies. To do this, you will need to purchase a cable for the TV in advance. You can also connect via the antenna input (for this there is a cable included in the Tricolor TV kit). You need to turn on the receiver and start the process of scanning TV channels.
  • Since the digital receiver is a computer device, for the stable operation of the set-top box, it is necessary that there be a normal process of loading and unloading the firmware. For everything to go smoothly, you do not need to press the remote control buttons remote control until the red LED on the front panel of the set-top box stops flashing (DRE4000) or until the -boot- sign disappears from the corresponding indicator (for DRE5000) after the plug is inserted. Under no circumstances should the plug be pulled out while the device is in operation. To turn off, press the red button on the remote control. It will exit to standby mode. It is necessary to wait for normal unloading (in our case, the red light stops flashing), and only then disconnect the receiver from the network.
  • There must be a quality contact in the socket that supplies power, and a stable contact of extension devices is also needed.
  • If your home is connected to the power supply system using overhead lines, do not leave the receiver connected to the network for long time, provided you don't watch TV. First of all, this applies to those cases when there is a thunderstorm and a strong wind in the yard.
  • When software is being updated from a satellite, all download rules must be followed. You can find out about them in the information channel. No need to turn off the receiver at the time of download. This may permanently damage the device.
  • You don't need to change your pin code unless it's really necessary. You can forget the new "pin". But recovering a code that has been lost is impossible, so when changing it, make sure that you can always look it up somewhere if you forget. You can write it down in a notepad or save it in another convenient and familiar place.

Setting sequence

1. It is necessary to connect the set-top box (receiver) to the TV and the receiving system. Turn on the power supply of the device. After that, the receiver is transferred from the standby mode (StandBy) to the working one. To do this, you need to wait a couple of seconds. The procedure itself is carried out using the menu quick setup(look at the User's Guide).

2. In the setup wizard menu, you will need to complete several items.

In the "Express Settings" section, you will need to check the following options:

Setting the language - confirm "OK".

AV Output Setting - confirm with "OK".

After that, a menu will appear with the inscription " Automatic search channels." There will be graphic indicators of the signal level and quality (for more details, see the "User's Guide"). And now you can start calibrating the antenna according to the received signal.

3. The dish must be installed near the calculated azimuth and elevation.

4. After that, the antenna is manually moved very slowly vertically and horizontally in search of high level and signal quality. The indicators associated with these parameters show the current signal characteristics. The adjuster should "feel" the maximum for both indicators of the indicator. You do not need to move the plate more than 1 degree at the time of searching for the best point.

5. When the ideal point is found, the antenna is fixed in a position in which it picks up the best and highest signal.

6. On the remote control, press the "OK" button, thereby starting the automatic search for TV channels.

7. If, during the search, the receiver found TV channels that are included in the Tricolor TV package you purchased (this can be determined by the displayed channel names), you should make the final tightening of the antenna. After that, go to the 9th paragraph.

8. If the antenna is tuned to the signal of another, alien satellite, then you need to:

1.) Press "No" when the question "Save found channels?"

2.) Select in "Setting time" - "Back". The automatic channel search will start again.

3.) Repeat the procedures described in points 3 to 7.

9. Follow the final steps:

Time setting - confirm "OK"

And that's it. Setup completed.

If you could not install and configure Tricolor TV yourself, then we are always ready to help you. That way -

Using a modern computer is unthinkable without additional equipment. Many mistakenly believe that this is not so: they say, I only store and process data on the computer, and work on the Internet, so I don’t need a printer, a scanner, a webcam, or other equipment. But in order to see the result of the processes occurring in the computer, you need at least a monitor that is recognized by the system as a separate type of equipment. In addition, a mouse and keyboard are required - these essential tools are also recognized as separate types of equipment. Therefore, each user must know how to properly connect equipment, configure it, and also how to solve possible problems associated with the operation of the equipment. All this and much more will be discussed in this chapter of the book.

Drivers and their purpose

In order to connect equipment to a computer, it is not enough just to physically connect it to the system unit. In order for the operating system to recognize this equipment, you must have a special program - a driver. Only after that the computer will "see" the equipment and will be able to work with it in a single bundle.

It should be noted that the operating Windows system 7 contains by default a large number of built-in drivers. When new equipment is connected to the computer, an automatic search is made for a driver suitable for it, and in fact, the user only has to wait for the moment when the desired driver is selected and the screen displays Announcement that the equipment is connected and ready for use.

However, if the system could not find the required driver, it will have to be installed separately. In this regard, the question immediately arises: where to get the right driver, and how is it installed?

Currently having problems with search the correct driver usually does not occur. Firstly, the new equipment comes with a CD, which, among other materials (operating manual, etc.), contains the driver distribution kit. Secondly, the driver can be found on the Internet - either on the website of the equipment manufacturer, or on other resources, of which there are a great many (for example, www . freesoft . r , www . s oftodrom . r , etc.).

As for installing the driver, in most cases it is not difficult. To install the driver, run the installation file and then follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard. If you are not very well versed in computers, in particular, you have little or no knowledge of hardware installation issues, then it is not recommended to change the driver installation options that are offered by the system by default.

After the driver is installed, the equipment will be ready for use, about which an appropriate informational message will be displayed on the screen.

Connecting new equipment and removing devices

To connect new hardware to your computer, select the Hardware and Sound category in the Control Panel, and click the Devices and Printers link. You can do it even easier by selecting Devices and Printers from the Start menu. In any case, the screen will display the window shown in Fig. 3.1.

Rice. 3.1. List of equipment connected to the computer

This window contains a list of all devices connected to the computer. For each of them, you can switch to the mode of viewing and editing properties - to do this, right-click on the corresponding icon and select the Properties command in the context menu that opens.

To connect new equipment, you need to click the Add device button in the toolbar of this window. As a result, the window shown in Fig. 3.2.

Rice. 3.2. Finding Devices to Install

This window will initially display information that the system is searching for new devices that have been connected to the computer, but have not yet been installed. In other words, after the search is completed, the window will display a list of devices that are physically connected to the computer (the connector is included in the corresponding slot), but the driver for which has not yet been installed.

After clicking the Next button in this window (you must first select the device you want to install by clicking on it), you will proceed to the first stage of device installation. In general, the installation procedure different devices is built approximately according to the same algorithm, although, of course, there are some peculiarities. In the next section, we will talk about how devices are connected using the example of one of the most popular types of equipment - a printer.

To remove a device from the list of types of equipment available for use (see Fig. 3.1), right-click on it and execute the Delete command in the context menu that opens. In this case, the system will issue an additional request to confirm the deletion operation. Typically, devices are removed in the following cases.

When the need to use the device has disappeared - in this case, its driver is usually removed so that it does not take up extra disk space;

When it becomes necessary to remove and then reinstall the driver - for example, in case of unstable or incorrect operation of the equipment;

When a device driver conflicts with other software installed on the computer.

There are other situations that require removing the device and uninstalling the driver - here a lot depends on the specifics of the situation and the use of the computer.

Installing and configuring the printer

As we noted earlier, a variety of external devices can be connected to a computer - printers, scanners, web cameras, etc. In this section, we will learn how to connect the most popular external device - a printer.

Note that in the Windows 7 operating system, the printer installation process is automated as much as possible, it is performed in step by step mode and is accompanied by appropriate prompts, so even an inexperienced user can easily connect the printer on their own. Moreover, USB printers can generally be installed automatically when connected (and this also applies to a number of other devices), and to connect all other printers, just follow a few simple steps.

To install a printer, in the toolbar of the equipment list window (see fig. 3.1), click the Install Printer button - as a result, the window shown in fig. 3.3.

Rice. 3.3. Selecting the type of printer to install

Note that this window can also be opened from the control panel - to do this, in the Hardware and Sound category, click on the Add Printer link.

In this window, you need to select the type of printer to be installed. For most ordinary users, in this window, you need to click on the Add a local printer value - this means that a specific printer is connected to a specific computer (as is usually the case, for example, at home). After selecting this value, the transition to the next stage of the installation will be performed (Fig. 3.4).

Rice. 3.4. Selecting a printer port

At this stage, you need to specify the printer port. In this case, a port is a channel (type of connection) for exchanging information between a computer and a printer, in other words, it is a connector for connecting a printer. You can use an existing port or create a new one by setting the switch to the appropriate position. In most cases, at this stage, you can leave the default options - when the switch is set to Use an existing port, and LPT1: (Printer port) is selected from the drop-down list.

To proceed to the next step, click the Next button - as a result, a window will open, as in Fig. 3.5.

Rice. 3.5. Selecting a driver for printer installation

At this stage, the printer driver is selected. Recall that the driver is software, supplied with the device connected to the computer and designed for the system to “see” and recognize this device. AT otherwise its use will be impossible. Since the Windows 7 system has a large set of drivers for a wide variety of devices, including printers, to install it, you just need to select the printer manufacturer on the left side of the window (see Fig. 3.5), and on the right - specific model printer. However, the system has the ability to self installation driver located on external media - to do this, insert the disk into the drive and click the Install from disk button.

Rice. 3.6. Entering a printer name

In this window, in the Printer name field, use the keyboard to enter an arbitrary printer name (for example, Epson, or Photo Printer). If you wish, you can leave the name suggested by the system by default.

Rice. 3.7. Configuring Printer Access

If you use the printer in local network is not planned (as is usually the case at home), you need to set the switch to the position Do not share this printer. If you need to open access to the printer for network users, then you should set the switch to Allow printer sharing so that others can use it, and then specify its network name (this parameter is required), location and arbitrary comment in the appropriate fields.

Rice. 3.8. Final step of printer installation

In this window, you can make sure that everything is done correctly. To do this, click the Print test page button, and if the printer is connected correctly, it will print a test page. To complete the installation process, click Finish.

Device Manager in Windows 7

All information about the computer hardware is stored in special program called Device Manager. This program is included with the Windows operating system, and here you can not only view data about the equipment connected to the computer, but also edit the properties of each type of equipment, update its driver, and perform a number of other actions.

Description of Device Manager

To launch the Device Manager, select the Hardware and Sound category in the Control Panel, and in the Devices and Printers section, click the Device Manager link. You can do it the other way: in the Start menu, right-click on the Computer item, in the context menu that appears, select the Properties command, and in the left part of the window that opens, click on the Device Manager link. In any case, the screen will display the window shown in Fig. 3.9.

Rice. 3.9. Device Manager

AT general case The tasks solved using the Device Manager can be formulated as follows.

Diagnostics of the equipment installed on the computer.

View and edit hardware configuration settings.

Select a driver for each of your devices, and get information about device drivers.

View and edit advanced settings and device properties, install updated device drivers.

Enable, disable and remove equipment.

Return to previous version drivers.

View devices based on their type, how they connect to your computer, or the resources they consume.

Control the display of hidden devices, which are not required to be displayed, but may be required for advanced troubleshooting.

Typically, Device Manager is used to check hardware status and update drivers. Experienced users who are well versed in the structure hardware computer can use the Device Manager to diagnose the operation of the hardware to resolve device conflicts and change resource settings.

Note that in most cases, there is no need to use the Device Manager to change resource settings, since the required amount of resources is allocated automatically by the system when the equipment is installed.

Keep in mind that Device Manager only allows you to manage devices on local computer. On remote computer it functions only in read-only mode, which allows you to view, but not edit the hardware configuration on this computer.

As seen in fig. 3.9, the Device Manager window is a standard Windows interface - an application. In its upper part there is a menu containing the items File, Action, View and Help by default. Below the main menu is a toolbar, the buttons of which are designed to select the display mode, as well as to perform a number of other actions. The names of the toolbar buttons are displayed as tooltips when you hover over them with the mouse pointer. Note that the contents of the toolbar may depend on the current position of the cursor.

Clicking the right mouse button on any item in the list opens context menu, some commands of which duplicate the corresponding commands of the main menu, as well as toolbar buttons. The contents of the context menu may also depend on the current mode of operation.

At the bottom of the interface is the status bar, an element found in the windows of many Windows applications. This element does not carry any functional load, but only plays informational role: Shows information about the current mode of operation or shows tips.

The central part of the interface contains a hierarchical list of devices installed and used on the computer. By default, all devices are grouped by type (Processors, Keyboards, etc.). To expand or collapse a branch of the hierarchy, click on the corresponding arrow to the left of its name, or double-click on the position name. As top level hierarchy uses the name of this computer.

Before you start using the program, it is recommended to review and, if necessary, edit its settings. To switch to the corresponding mode, execute the main menu command View > Customize. As a result, the window shown in Fig. 3.10.

Rice. 3.10. Setting up Device Manager

In this window, by setting the appropriate checkboxes, you can determine which interface elements and program tools should be displayed or available for use, and which should not. On fig. 3.10 shows the settings that are used by default.

You can customize the presentation of data in the equipment list by yourself - the corresponding commands of the View menu are intended for this. You can select one of the options listed below.

Devices by type. When this display option is selected, all devices in the list are grouped by type (for example, Monitors, Mice, etc.). As we noted earlier, this option is used in the program by default. By double-clicking on the name of the device type, the names of all connections are displayed in the subordinate positions of the hierarchy.

Connection devices. In this case, the devices listed in the list are displayed by the way they are connected to the computer. In this case, the name of each device is displayed under the equipment to which it is connected.

Resources by type. If you select this option, the list will show all the resources involved, according to the type of device that uses these resources. The following types of resources are available in the program: Direct Memory Access (DMA) Channels, I/O Ports, Interrupt Request (IRQ), and Memory Addresses.

Connection resources. If this display option is selected, then all resources will be presented by connection type.

Also, if you wish, you can turn on the display mode of hidden devices - for this, the Show hidden devices command is intended in the View menu. Usually under hidden devices refers to devices and types of equipment for which drivers are installed, but which are not currently connected to the computer. In other words, if you installed the driver, but did not physically connect the corresponding device to the computer, then this device automatically falls into the category of hidden devices.

Viewing Hardware Properties

To view the properties of equipment, select it in the list with a mouse click and execute the main command Action > Properties or the command Properties of the context menu called by pressing the right mouse button. As a result, a window consisting of several tabs will be displayed on the screen (Fig. 3.11).

Rice. 3.11. Hardware Properties, General tab

Note that the number of tabs in this window may depend on the device type. For example, in fig. 3.11 shows the properties window of the webcam, and for network adapter this window may also contain Advanced, Power Management and Resources tabs, etc.

The General tab provides general information about this device. The corresponding fields display its type, manufacturer, as well as information about the current state. If the device is functioning normally, without malfunctions and deviations from the norm, then the phrase Device is operating normally will be displayed in the Device status field (see Fig. 3.11). If the device has some problems, then the Device Status field will display the relevant information (for example, This device may experience problems, etc.).

On the Driver tab, the contents of which are shown in Fig. 3.12, you can view driver information this device, as well as perform a number of actions with the driver.

Rice. 3.12. Device driver information

The upper part of this tab shows information about the current version of the driver, the date of its development, the developer, and whether it is digitally signed. All listed data are shown for reference, their manual editing is not possible.

To view detailed information about the driver files, click the Details button. As a result, a window will appear on the screen, in which, among other things, the full path to the driver files will be displayed. This information can be useful, for example, when you need to manually remove the driver file (it happens that the driver cannot be removed using the built-in uninstaller or using the uninstall program implemented in Windows, and then you have to do it manually, for which you need to know the exact location file).

Update device drivers

To update the device driver, click the Update button. As a result, the window shown in Fig. 3.13.

Rice. 3.13. Driver update

You can update the driver both manually and in automatic mode(select the appropriate option by clicking on it). In the first case (Automatic search for updated drivers value), the operating system will independently search for more recent driver versions both on the computer and on the Internet (provided that given function not disabled in the settings of this device). The search results will either prompt you to install a newer version of the driver, or display an informational message on the screen stating that there is no need to update the driver for this device.

In the second case (the value Search for drivers on this computer), the driver update window will look like as shown in fig. 3.14.

Rice. 3.14. Entering the area to search for updated drivers

In this window, you need to specify where on this computer or on the local network the system should search for the latest driver version for this device. If the default value is not suitable, then click the Browse button, then in the window that opens, specify the search area and click the OK button. The search area can be a folder, volume hard drive, another computer on the local network, a CD, etc. If the search area contains subfolders and you want them to be searched for new driver versions as well, select the Include subfolders checkbox.

To start searching for new driver versions, click Next. The search results will either prompt you to install a newer version of the driver, or display an informational message stating that there is no need to update the driver for this device.

Note that you can choose the latest driver version from the list of drivers already installed on this computer. To do this, in the window shown in Fig. 3.14, click on Select a driver from the list of already installed drivers. As a result, the window shown in Fig. 3.15.

Rice. 3.15. Selecting a driver from the list of installed drivers

The central part of this window contains a list of installed drivers. If the Only compatible devices option is enabled, then only drivers for devices that are compatible with this device will be included in the list. If this option is disabled, then the list will consist of two columns: on the left, a list of device manufacturers will be presented, and on the right, a list of models for each manufacturer. First, you will need to click on the manufacturer, and then the model of the device.

You can install the driver from a CD - to do this, click the Install from disk button, and in the window that opens, specify the required path.

Reverting to a previous driver version, deleting and disabling a device

It happens that after installing a fresh version of the driver, the device works worse than with the previous version, or does not work at all. In this case, it makes sense to revert to the previous version of the driver. Since users do not always remember where they got this version from and what number it has, the system provides a regular function to return to the previous version of the driver. To do this, on the Driver tab, click the Rollback button - as a result, an automatic transition to the previous version of the driver will be performed. Note that this button is available only after updating the driver version (otherwise this operation won't make sense).

Operating system Windows XP plays the role of an intermediary between applications, I use! computer devices, and the devices themselves, "devices" refers to all components of the computer except the processor and random access memory. Small utility programs called drivers are used to control devices. Most Devices modern computers plug-and-play: they are automatically detected by the operating system, and the choice of hardware resources used is done by software, which avoids conflicts between devices. For non-plug-and-play devices and most external devices located outside system block computer, Windows XP can use an automatic search and installation procedure. If this procedure fails, you can install the device driver manually.

You can see the list of devices installed on your computer in the Device Manager window. Starting the Device Manager is usually done using the system properties dialog box. This window also allows you to make settings related to system performance and reliability.

For some devices, WindowsXP provides special installation and configuration options. In particular, it is necessary to pay special attention to installing drivers for video system components, since problems in it usually lead to a complete inability to work with a computer.

Also, special attention is required to install and configure the modem. This is due to the fact that the use of a modem requires the coordinated operation of several computer devices, a telephone line, and a modem at the other end of the communication line. Therefore, when installing and configuring a modem, it is necessary to take into account not only its properties, but also many other parameters. Features of installing printers are related to the fact that they are always external devices computer and are often used as network devices when printing on the same printer can be done from different computers. This often leads to the need to install several printers on one computer, which is why adding and configuring printer properties is carried out using a special tool. Windows folders xp.

A feature of gaming devices is the need to calibrate them, that is, indicate the neutral * zgo position and the range of deflection of the handle (or a control element similar to its functions). Such installation, as well as verification of these devices, can be carried out using the operating system.

Most devices for their work use the hardware resources of the computer. Ensuring the correct functioning of devices requires that no one resource is MI: whether to use two or more devices. The occurrence of such a situation is considered as a conflict over resources. The Windows XP operating system tries to avoid conflicts every time it starts, in the need for "on the go" - reconfiguring devices that meet the plug-and-play standard. If she fails to achieve this, the resulting conflicts must be resolved manually.

What are the most common printer settings? The most general printer settings are set on the General tab of the printer properties dialog box. Here you can print a test page. It also sets the printer icon name here. For network printers, note-taking capabilities are also convenient, which will be displayed on all computers where the driver was installed after the notes were created. A particularly important role is played by the Printing Preferences button, which opens a specific window for making hardware-specific printer settings. The tabs in this new window vary by printer model and driver version.

How do I change printer settings related to its connection?

Printer connection-related settings are configured on the Ports tab of the printer properties dialog box. Here you can change the port to which the local printer is connected (including setting the print-to-file mode) and change the settings for the printer port.

This tab is used for color calibration, that is, to establish a correspondence between the colors displayed on the screen and on paper. It allows you to select and assign a color profile to this printer, which corrects the reproduction of colors when printing. |E|b5) How is printer memory usage monitored? The essence of the proposed business is the installation and configuration of satellite Internet and television, as well as further maintenance of the installed equipment.

To install equipment for receiving satellite Internet, it is not at all necessary to be a signalman 🙂 Any schoolchild or pensioner who knows how to hold a screwdriver and a wrench in his hand can handle it. Each person has the opportunity to learn how to independently configure satellite equipment, regardless of his training at the moment.

Pin satellite dish on the wall is no more difficult than nailing a hanger. On hand you need to have a hammer drill and some hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, a hammer…

Installing hardware in a computer is no more difficult than inserting an additional memory slot into the motherboard.

And setting up the software is no more difficult than installing ICQ. Because almost all installations are accompanied by the Windows Setup Wizard.

Does this sound unbelievable to you? Do you think you are far from it?

What if I told you that the customization business satellite systems mostly people who do not really understand anything - neither in computers, nor in communications?
All they do is stupidly execute a clear algorithm! Absolutely no creativity!
In most cases installers satellite equipment know nothing but their work. Step to the left, step to the right and the "specialist" gets stuck ...

I also want to note that along with the existence of a MYTH about the difficulties of setting up, there is a MYTH that you need to have special expensive equipment to install satellite systems. If you also heard such a MYTH, I hasten to please you - it's just a myth! All the necessary equipment is a compass and a simple Chinese device for 450 rubles. (~$17). And if you wish, you can do without a device and without a compass, they can be replaced by two programs for a PC, which can be freely downloaded on the network.

In addition, it should be noted that the installation of satellite equipment is good business, which brings good profit ... For all people, of course, the concept of "good profit" is different, but I think that earning from 2-9 thousand rubles per day will not be superfluous for anyone.

The cost of the work of a master in installing satellite equipment for receiving satellite Internet and television (in different variations) costs from 3,000 to 15,000 rubles, depending on the region. The cost of antenna correction and adjustment of “floated” frequencies costs from 1000-2000 rubles. This operation should be performed approximately once every 6-12 months. The antenna tuner can make up to 10 corrections in 1 day. Or install and configure at least two satellite dishes.

If you wish, you can generally become an independent Internet provider. For example, to spread a network of satellite Internet in your porch or in the village, to which "civilization" has not yet reached. Thus, use the Internet on your own and accept payment for access to the network from users of your personal network. But looking ahead, I will say that in order to set up your network, some additional theoretical preparation will be required.

Have you ever wondered what is the business of setting up satellite equipment?
If you have not thought about it, then I will describe it a little to you. I quite often have to install satellite systems.

By profession, I am a lead design engineer for the design of fiber optic communication lines (FOCL) in a telecommunications company and I am faced with similar work almost daily. So I can tell you something about this business.

The business of setting up satellite equipment (or for some, just a hobby) is an activity (classified in the tax legislation as a service sector) that does not require virtually any financial investment from the entrepreneur.

1. The basis of the business is the skills and knowledge of the installer.
2. The "product" of this business is used by all civilized people around the world.
3. This business is still developing in our country. In Russia and the CIS countries, it will probably never end for geographical reasons.
4. Even a full-time student can engage in this business. You can customize it to suit your individual schedule.
5. In some regions of the Russian Federation, there is practically no competition in this area.
6. Office and rental of premises for this business is not needed at all! All work is carried out exclusively on the territory of the customer.
7. To start, it is enough to spend one week studying all the subtleties.
8. If you get tired of the business, to close it, you just need to turn off your mobile phone.

If this idea has become interesting to you, then you can study in more detail the topic of installing and configuring satellite equipment on the website sprinternet.ru, in free course"Satellite Internet and TV with your own hands."
